How long for the confirmation letter?

Made my ressies on the 10th for AKL. I've received my passes, a travel planning guide, but no confirmation letter showing the deposit plus how much I owe. I need this as my husband's organization will write a check directly to the hotel as he's going to be attending a conference in Orlando. Is it time to call Disney?

I made a ressie on the 11th for BWI and I got my confirmation letter on the 19th. I'd say yes, it's time to call. I did have it happen once that I failed to get my confirmation letter and when I called they asked for my reservation number and then just sent me a new confirmation letter in a few days. If you didn't write down your reservation number ai think they can find it for you with just a little more time and a few more questions. Call today because your deposit due date is probably the 24th (they usually give you 2weeks).

Oops -- I see you said you paid the deposit already so you don't need to worry too much about the time frame but I'd still call soon just to be sure that it's all set -- and it's always so reassuring to see it in writing. Good luck.

I made our reservations on the 8th, but I still have not received our confirmation letter. I am kinda bummed b/c the CM said she would stick in some info on dining, etc. I called back on the 16th to pay our deposit, and I received our "modified" (I hope by modified it just means that the deposit has been paid, b/c I didn't change a thing...it looks right) confirmation letter on the 21st.

I would definitely call. I feel more comfortable having a paper trail.

I'm not sure if you always get a letter or not. For my trips in October and May, I got my letter within 2 weeks of booking. I booked again in May and have yet to receive the official letter with my deposit and balance information. I did receive the little packet saying welcome back, here are some things you might enjoy... That had my hotel name on it and month of my newest reservation.

i have always gotton the confirmation within 5 days of booking-- well i booked 2 weeks ago for dec and still haven't received anything so i called today just to make sure there wasn't a problem and the cm told me for some reason whoever booked my room just didn't post it to be sent out so he was doing it today and said it will be mailed out in the morning so i would definitely call

I booked on a Friday and got the confirmation a week from the following Monday, so about 10 days. That same day I had to change our dates, and for some reason I keep getting confirmations in the mail? I've gotten six so far....one day I got two identical ones in the same day!

I made my ressie for Jan on the June 16th and the letter arrived on the 21st. I dont remember it being so quick the last time.

3 weeks after making our reservations, we still had no confirmation letter. DH called CRO and he was told they don't automatically send them to everyone anymore!! Its only if you have certain payment terms. Since we gave her a credit card for the one night's required deposit, she said there would be no reason for a letter because the balance was due when we arrived.

She offered to send us one to make us feel more secure and within a week we had the letter.

I can't remember but one time where I didn't get it in under a week and a half. The one time I didn't, I called and they said it had inadvertently not been mailed out.

We just recently worked with Magical Journeys for our June trip and our agent said Disney appears to be having problems getting letters to everyone. She said it has been taking a couple of weeks and sometimes they don't come at all. She had to call for me several times to finally get one.

Do they send out a confirmation letter when you change your reservation (from AP rate to room only discount code ) ?

They should but I would request it to be sure. I paid the deposit on a reservation last Friday and got the modified confirmation today (I asked for it).
