How long for media mail from CA to NJ?

I ordered a book via half.com and paid on 2/28. The seller said that the book was shipped 'a few days later.' He's in California, I'm in New Jersey. How long should I wait before I start getting worried? The book was sent media mail. 2 weeks seems to be a long time.

Forever! I had a publicist send me a CD and press kit from LA "media mail" and it took almost three weeks to arrive.

Media mail always takes long. I have ordered from half.com before and It took anywhere from 2 and a half weeks to almost a month to get some things.

Media mail can take forever. We ordered books from chicago a few years ago and they were sent media mail. It took almost a month for them to get here. We could have driven there and picked them up in 5 hours!

I buy and sell a lot of my books on Amazon (sent via media mail) , and without looking it up, I remember that media mail can take from 7-21 days.

It should take no longer than seven to ten days in most cases. However, a lot of companies are now sending their fourth class mail through clearing houses. Clearing Houses that wait forever to send the stuff out! I don't know why these companies want to do that, but it is a becoming more and more common.
I see a lot of these packages now coming in, and my customers aren't too happy about the long waits.
I'm also seeing more of those that have the Merchandise Reply stuff sent to one major clearing house in the Wisconsin are. I still haven't figured that one out!
