How Long for Garden View Tea?

I was wondering about how much time to allow for tea at the Grand Floridian tea room. I'm thinking about switching our departure day lunch to tea instead, but I'm concerned about the time issue since our ME pickup will probably be around 4:30-ish (7:15 flight home) and 2 is the earliest reservation time. I know most of our Disney meals take 1-1.5 hours, including the wait to be seated, but since I've never done tea (anywhere, not just at Disney), I don't know whether to expect it to be shorter, longer, or about the same.

If you get the 2 pm tea make sure you are there at least 15 mins before. They are usually have a small meeting of the CM's and then someone will come down to the check in podium at 2pm but a line usually forms. So if you can get seated at 2 and decided quickly what you want (they have a menu outside of the Grandview room you can check out ahead of time) you will probably be there for at least an hr depending on what you order. We have enjoyed it so much that we did sit there for I believe 1 1/2 hrs or more, (we take our time and chat with our server). Depending on where you are staying you might be able to do the 2pm tea. You can always call GF and inquire how long you might be there just to make sure.
