Hi,
Just wonder how long it takes Disney to respond to a complaint I made. What happened was we stayed at the AKL on my points 8/19-27 as my 40th b-day presant to myself as I did not get my cruise-another story. I wrote by e-mail to member services thru DVC site and within 2 days had a response back from them that they had sent my e-mail to Resort Services. That was several weeks ago - they told me to expect a response within 14 days. Then I get the survey card in the mail last week. Here is my chance again to let Disney know of the mistakes made - lost luggage, charged for the room nightly ($300+ I think it plus taxes) when we checked in they knew about us being DVC members because the gentlemen cking us in told us he knew we were DVC Members and were on points - we did not say anything to him. Then they also told me my credit card was declined - I had enough on my card to even cover the room charge if we needed to pay but I don't think so. I was on with the credit card company on my cell phone - no problem w/the card per the company and the room phone with front desk. Then they charged the room on Thursday but my ck-out was not till Sunday. I did not even get I am sorry for the problems. They blamed it on a computer error - I don't think it was a computer error as they knew when we ckd in that we were DVC members and it was whomever in the acct. They also lost my luggage for 8 hours - they told me it was delivered hours ago. I had asked everytime that someone came to deliver luggage - even had someone knock on my door asking if I had someone elses luggage - they had lost that also. Must have been 3 times before I finally had to go to the front desk to request that they find the kids luggage - can't miss it as it had my daughters name embroidered on it. This visit was not up to par with Disney standards and overall stressfull day checking-out (had automatic ck out) without even I am sorry for all the trouble. It was the worst service I have ever received while staying at Disney. For the points I used, service at its worse - not expected at any but from a Deluxe Resort no less and not even a I am sorry - I am fuming. I will never stay there again - its a shame because I loved the resort and the kids enjoyed themselves. I will be staying at a DVC resort from now on. My next venture onto DVC property is in April - hopefully better than this last trip. Only good that came of the whole trip was Southwest overbooked our flight home and I along with my mom & daughter took a voluntary bump and I have enough in airline vouchers for our April trip. That was worth it.
