How Long For Deed to Show Up?

Points were loaded for my resale one month ago on 8/1/12. Typically how long does it take for us to get the deed and who will we get it from? Title company, broker, Orange County or Disney? Thanks in advance.

Deed is probably recorded and on the Orange County website. The Title company will mail you a copy but it might take another month. I have never needed a deed for anything and never been asked for one with all of our DVC contracts or several houses that we have owned.

Both of my deeds showed up on the OCC site long before the points were loaded.

Both of my deeds showed up on the OCC site long before the points were loaded.

Mine were recorded 7/24 with OCC but I'm referring to the actual paper deed showing ownership of DVC. We have 2 direct contracts and both times got deeds. They are in our safety deposit box at the bank so can't lay hands on them right now. Since this is our first resale I just was wondering about it.

It takes a very long time. It was 3 months after passing ROFR and the title company sent it.

I think it depends entirely on how "on the ball" the title company is. We closed on our resale on 8/9 and the deed just showed up at the end of this past week. So about 3 - 3 1/2 weeks later.

You can download the deed from the OCC site. My title company sent me mine a couple of weeks after closing.
