I know there are just two parks. Is there enough there to do to stay 6 1/2 days in late August/early Sept without getting bored? How long are most people's trips, if they are doing just Universal?:confused3

Most people don't do that long just at Universal, but I was there for a week and only went to Disney once. I don't get bored riding over and over again. I could go to Magic Kingdom or IOA every day for a month and not get bored.

We've done 7 days and loved it. We did go to the Pirates and Princess party one evening.

It all depends how many times you want to go on the same attractions. Are you going over Labor Day weekend? The parks start to slow down end of August. I personally think it's a little long for just Universal and IOA.

I was thinking August 29th-Sept 4th. I don't mind repeating rides and am one who likes to just putter around looking at details. Yeah, I'm one of those who could spend all day wandering around with a Hidden Mickey book at WDW.:rotfl: I'm also a foodie and don't usually care for counter service type food. I usually eat mainly table service meals at WDW, so am also curious if I'll be able find enough restaurants to eat at a different one every day for lunch and dinner (usually skip breakfast).:rotfl:

We had booked 5 nights last June, and wound up staying a 6th night because we weren't ready to leave.

We did everything multiple times, and never really got tired of it. If it wasn't for work obligations, we could have stayed another 2-3 days and still had fun.

My family however does not go on a ride once, and then not want to do it again.

My son's favorite was Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast and I think he went on that attraction literally at least 20 times. Was it repetitious for the wife and I? Yes... But his laughter, saying the dialogue with the characters on the screen, etc. outweighs the repetition for us by far.

We also didn't feel the need to rush around and make sure we got everything done... We just wandered and enjoyed ourselves.

Our trip in October is going to be for 5 nights which is still plenty, but I wouldn't mind it being longer.

There are quite a few restaurants throughout the parks, Citywalk and the resorts.

Well I just added a new countdown to my signature.:cool1: Yeah, I finally made up my mind. I just called and booked a king room at the RPR for August 29th-Sept 4th using the Stay More, Save More rate. I can't wait! I spent a couple of partial days at US/IOA this past May during my WDW trip, but was with three other people and only stayed 1/2 day each day, so didn't really get to see or do much. This time I have 6 1/2 days to explore at my leisure. This newbie needs some help!:scared1: What are somethings I need to see and do? Which restaurants are not to be missed? Do I need to make ADRs and if so how do you make them? How do you survive the late summer heat? There's a good chance I won't fit on the new Forbidden Journey ride. That's OK, but I still want to explore every corner of Hogsmead and Hogswart. I hope that after 6 1/2 days, I'll know US, as well as I do WDW. In case you can't tell, I'm just a little excited about my first US trip.:rotfl:

We are planning on a 5 day trip. Two days at each park and one day to enjoy the resort and if need be, other attractions in Orlando. I have been to both parks but not on a long trip basis (day trips from a local relative). I can't see getting bored, and if anything, wishing for more time.
