How long does Pop Warner hang around?

I'm planning a last-minute, post-cruise trip to WDW in early December, from the 8th to the 13th. I know that Pop Warner is around the same time - the cheer and dance championships are from the 5th-9th, and the 'Super Bowl' is listed as the 3rd-10th.

The consensus from what I've read is that Pop Warner is not that big of a deal, and that you won't really notice anything unless you are staying at one of the values where the PW kids are staying.

The only availability for our dates is at AS Sports, or potentially at Pop if we check in the 9th and do a one-night stay somewhere else the night before. I've only stayed in mods so far, so I don't mind staying in a value - I'm just happy to be at WDW. Does anybody have experience or insight as to what I can expect in terms of PW crowds at the resort? Busses? Do most stay the entire time?

I'm going to book one way or another, but I'm a little bit nervous about what I'm getting us into.

It's been confirmed this year the spill over Moderate is CSR.

So I'll be better off booking at Pop?

Having stayed at Sports during Pop Warner Week 3 times now, I wouldn't change because of it. Was never an issue when we were there.

Thanks. It was posted on the CSR FAQ Thread that CSR was the Moderate Spillover. I didn't realize they are giving 2 choices this year.

I only knew because I read it in another thread either here or on the PassPorter boards. I didn't want to take the time to try to find the post (especially since I couldn't remember which message board it was on), but I knew that it included a picture of the page with the information, so I just checked the Pop Warner website.
