I'm new to DVC - havent' even closed yet, but I do have my paperwork. Anyway, our guide helped me book 2 trips last week using our developer points. One trip I got a reservation number for, the other MS said we'd get soon. I thought she said they were going to email them to me, but I know it's been at least a full 7 days and I haven't seen anything. Am I just being impatient? I'm kinda wondering if they got my email address wrong :confused3

hm...I don't know about emails, but I just recently booked my first trip and I got a reservation letter in the mail about 5 days later.

Usually 7-10 days for the printed confirmation to be received.

well, cosidering for the past few reservations I've made, I didn't even get a printed confirmation via snail mail. I have NEVER gotten a confirmation e-mail in the time I've owned DVC.

I don't think DVC knows about email when it comes to sending reservation confirmations. :rotfl: All of my confirmations have taken about 10 days to get to me

I just made some reservations using developer points or 'incentive' points as the lady said. She told me it takes 7-10 days for them to send you an email confirmation since she was not able to make the reservation herself, that her supervisor had to do it..... This sounds a little ridiculous to me. If the space is open, make my reservation and give me my confirmation number....

Your talking about DVC... They just replaced all the VHS tape players with DVD this year.

Actually, we've never gotten an email confirmation either. Given the number of transactions that occur though, I would think a bunch of money could be saved if they primarily used email... Ma'am, can we email you your confirmation or do you prefer us to send you a hard copy?

OT.... Can someone tell me why there is an apostrophe between the two A's in Ma'am? Just a mystery to me...

Developer points don't belong to you, they belong to DVD. They are not processed with the Member Reservation System. They are noted in the system but not really added to your account.

Good point.... I didn't even think about that. Maybe because I NEVER GOT DEVELOPER POINTS or anything else. Sorry, didn't mean to yell. :)

It is a contraction of madam-dating from the 1670's according to an online dictionary :thumbsup2

So... we replace the "d" with an apostrophe and that contracts it? I looked it up too and it seems you are quite right ma'am. Go figure :confused3 People must hate trying to learn our language.

I just got off the phone with MS to book my last incentive points I was told that if I gave my email I would get a confirmation faster than the 7-10 days - seems to change on a daily basis - go figure.

I just called on Fri. 11/21 to book with our developer points and I too was told they had to send the confirmation # via e-mail and that I couldn't make any requests, until I had that #:confused3

I made a change to my 11/29-12/6 reservation on Thursday and received the e-mail confirmation YESTERDAY (2 days). Dunno why. MS said I may not even get it by the time we left (we had the number, obviously).

Unbelievably quick in terms of Disney. I can't believe this is the norm but it really did happen to us.

Ok, just thought I'd update since I asked the question. It took a week and a half - not too bad I guess. My email confirmations came yesterday - a 5 night stay at SSR in a studio this January and a 6 night stay at SSR in a studio for our 1st anniversary this April  And to think we were going to buy BLT without the developer points and PAY for those two trips anyway!
