How long does it take to deliver a package??

When they say 4-6 weeks, are they for real??
There were some Yankee Candle people that sent their stuff out a little over a week ago & it hasn't arrived....
How long will it take to get there???
I just want everyone to get their stuff and I'll be happy...

when i sent a package from florida to my house... it took about a week with UPS ground service....

When they say 4-6 weeks, they mean it.
That's how long it took for the packages Poohshoney and I sent each other (she's in Germany).
It took each of them 4 weeks and a couple days. (poor chocolate )

It's possible. I have had packages arrive here in Italy from the US in 5 days and I have had packages take over a month. I am currently waiting on at least two packages that were mail in July.....so 4-5 weeks later, still not here. Also, I mailed a package to NY on July 7th and it still hasn't arrived, nor was it returned to me and it was clearly marked in permanant magic marker.

I had this conversation with some friends this weekend and one person commented that she knew some people that worked in a post office and they had problems with packages arriving. An investigation was conducted and it turned out there was a postal employee that wasn't able to keep up with his work load, so at the end of the day he disposed of the packages he didn't have time to route. So sad!!! I know this is the exception, but you never know what can happen or why mail sometimes takes longer than other times.

Well to add a bit of Aussie to this thread.

If I post a package here on say the Friday (Thurdsay in the States) & send it AirMail it will be over in the States the following Friday.

But.....if I send it Economy Air it will tak 2- 3 weeks.

Then again.........................if it were to go Sea Mail it would take 2-3 months......that's cause it goes on the slow boat to China without a leak!

I am happy to report that my MIA package finally arrived at its destination in NY, only took 50 days....ARGH! But at least it got there. It was marked at JFK that it arrived damaged, but my friend said the box and contents were fine.....go figure.

There has beed delays with the USPS. Although they will deny it. I work with many catalogers and their in-home dates have been anywhere from one to two weeks late. I also received a JC Pennye coupon for the big book that expired the day before I recieved it. ( 8/23) and it clearly stated for the postmaster to deliver 8/1- 8/5.

I live in MA...sent a Package to a friend in Chicago and it took 10 days...gggrrrrrr I hate the post office..

I ordered something from a company in CA..had one item shipped to me and one to a friend in Michigan, and I got my package a week before they did....
