How long does it take for DCL to transfer a reservation to a Travel agent?

How long does it generally take for DCL to transfer a reservation to my travel agent once they receive the transfer forms? Do they do it on the weekend or only during week?

My experience has been that it takes a couple of days. In reality, it probably takes less than a minute on their computer, but it sits on a desk to be processed for a time.

I doubt that there is specifically one person to process these--more likely there are many people who process various types of paper work between phone calls as well as individuals who primarily do this type of work. Thus, it is probably dependent on how busy they are and how quickly they can get to it.

Are you looking at a deadline due to your PIF date? That's the only reason I can think of that this would need to be a "rush" issue.

Yes, but this is a different issue. When you book on board and name your TA, they automatically get a copy of the booking provided they are in DCL's system. As soon as the on board agent hits the button to send the reservation to DCL shoreside, it also goes to the TA. From there, it is a matter of how efficient or automated the TA is in sending you their confirmation.

Transferring an existing reservation to a TA is a manual process. It takes little time, but someone has to process the change.

In my experience it has always been done the next day (with faxed in form)
