How long does disembarkation take in San Juan?

Says that we get back to San Juan at 7:45am. Would a 11:43am flight be pushing it? The lines in PR are really long

On Disney's website it just says not to make flights before 11:30 in San Juan.

The DCL site says 11:30 is the earliest you *should* make flights for. Personally I prefer to have a little more wiggle room than end my vacation being stressed over making a flight.

Last year we sailed in/out of San Juan and had a 11:30am flight. We walked off the ship with luggage in the 1st disembarking group and it took not time at all. We were on the 1st Disney transport to the airport and made it in plenty of time. We ended waiting around for a few hours before it was time for our flight. Keep in mind this was with no delays in the docking of the ship. I hope this helps.

Per contra, when we sailed the transatlantic to San Juan with Disney in 2014 the queues for Homeland Security were absolutely the worst we have ever seen. It is difficult to recall the nightmare now but I seem to remember we stood in line for about two hours for passport control. The Disney crew were going frantic. Many flights were missed, I think. Fortunately, our flight left at 1.45pm and we were OK. Perhaps San Juan has sorted itself out now, but early flights are always a risk.

No we off the ship by 800 am and were through security at the airport by 900 am. You should be fine. We made a 1030 flight. It's a 20 minute taxi ride to airport. I will clarify this by saying we cruised in September. January is a busier time in San Juan, but I think you'll still be fine.

You were coming from Europe that's a different story. San Juan is a US territory you don't even need a passport to cruise out of their on a closed loop cruise. It won't be any different on OP's cruise then a cruise out of Miami or PC.

We disembarked very timely last January in San Juan. You're asking how long and although I don't remember exactly, I do know that we weren't rushed and felt relaxed. Were off in time for an 11:30 flight. Of course, everything went smoothly that morning so your mileage may vary if there are any issues with weather or anything that could delay the ship or customs.

Really, I always spend at least one day post cruise, unless I live local to the port before flying back, that way I don't have to stress.
