How long does Dinner Last

If we are a family of 5, with early seating - approximately how long does it take to have dinner?

It should be about 1.5 hours so they can clean up for the next seating.

According to my kids..................TOO LONG. They wanted to get back to the kids club!!

But just right for us (without kids)!

Guess I'm just a big kid but I agree with the too long. My problem is that I have to be outdoors when the weather is nice, so to sit indoors even though I am enjoying a wonderful meal and conversation, I want to go outdoors. I think it comes from living in the cold North.

It depends a lot on your server. My favorite server explained to us on the first night that he'd like us to try to be right on time for dinner. That way, he could get our food out quickly. And, he was right. We were always the first or second table served...so we got right in and then right out in about an hour. We would be ordering dessert when some tables didn't even have dinner. He had always taken our order before many others even had done drink orders! Unfortuately, he was on leave during our last cruise and the service was fun, good, but much slower!

We usually ended up being in the dining room 1 1/2 hours. When we placed our order I would tell Rudy if the kids would be going to the club early & he would bring their food out when Bayoki brought our drinks out. They would eat desert when we had our salads and I ran them down to the club 6:30 - 6:45. When I returned our dinners were just coming out & we were able to relax and enjoy the rest of our meal.
