How long do you visit WDW?

We have done trips for as long as 10 days and as short as 4 days - 10 was better - this April it will be 7 nights and 8 days - but we like to do more than just the parks - we like a spa day - a fishing excursion - a shopping day.... so that eats up some time

We generally do 12-14 days each trip. We also go two times a year so it allows us to really take our time doing things. This past December we could only do 7 days and I was really depressed! I could never get tired of WDW. We spend half the trip hanging at the Poly pool!

Well We travel from the UK so have a 2 week stay. Last time we did all the orlando parks but didnt feel we got enough Disney so this year its disney all the way for two weeks which is going to suit us fine. We do however get up early hit the parks for opening then take a good 2 hour break over lunch to rest the feet and get out of the heat. this works great for us

We've spent anywhere from 3 nights ( :crazy2: I know--misspent youth) to 10 nights. I could easily stay longer than 10 and still find new things to do without once thinking "It's time to go home." And we never leave Disney property.
Friend is planning her family's first trip to WDW asked me if 10 days will be too long-- :rotfl: :rotfl2: Never!
Just came back from Disneyland, where we spent 5 nights. Everyone asked me upon return what in the world we found to do for 5 days at DL--and I wish we'd had at least another three days! If they only knew... :flower:
A thought--for those people who do Disney once in a lifetime, and take only about week to do so--don't they feel rushed and that it's all crazy-busy down there? It's hard for me to consider Disney a vacation unless I can relax and not make myself exhausted trying to do everything. But that's why I'm a Disneyfreak. Many people do not understand me. :hyper:

I like 10 days. It provides enough time for parks and relaxation away from the parks. Disney is more than parks and I want the full experience of Pools, Shopping, resting, and other activities. I personally like spending a full day or two just at my resort swimming, eating, lounging and just enjoying the atmosphere.

Next trip will be 8 nightd, as we will have a first timer along. We'll also stay at an AllStar resort, so we dont ALL have to head home right after dinner for bath and bed;)

Due to the distance involved we have been for 14 nights on all but 1 of our 7 trips to Florida and on the trip where we stayed for 7 nights we had 7 nights in the Bahamas afterwards to relax.

A short break to Disney means Paris and when we go to Paris we have went twice for 1 day/1 night, once for 4 days/3 nights and are going again in March for 3 days/2 nights.

Maxiv, are you at all close to being 18? you could apply to the International program and work at Disneyworld for a whole year! You could go and play at the parks every single day!

For me 10 days would be ideal. For DH 5 would be ideal. So we compromise with 8 days in FLA, 6 days in the parks 2 relaxing days ie: Arrival Day, departure Day.

Perhaps when the new one gets here I can have someone on my side for a longer time at WDW.

well in meantime i have become 18 (on 2nd of september = day of departure @ WDW :( ) but working there wouldn't fit in my plan of my future career, i'm doing a levels (abitur here in germany) in may and then i want to carry on studying first 3 years in munich and then another 3 years in london, so unfortunately there is no time to work @ WDW or DL for a year...

We've done 8-10 days in the past and that seems right for us. Our next WDW trip is an add-on to a family thing instead of a stright-up WDW trip. I can't stay for more then 4 days without DD missing school, so we're doing 4 days. I have a knee issue that means we can't do the commando trips, so our usual trips are pretty relaxed and fun for us. I'm thinking that 4 days is going to seem like a hit-and-run trip. LOL

Since we've been going with the kids, our trips have been anywhere from 5 to 12 nights. I'm sure they'll continue to vary...just depends. The next one will be 5 nights at the Poly. :)

It's usually 7-8 days, this April will be 8 days. I'd like to make it 9 next trip - to be able to go a little slower. I also try to have a 3 day weekend after the trip so that I have a chance to relax, do laundry & get groceries before going back to work. :dog:

We did 8 nights last trip (our first trip) and it was enough, but this year I have 10 nights booked and I'm already having trouble planning out all of the things I want to do (including having a relaxing day)! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

We average 2 to 3 trips a year:

Trip 1: 10 days
Trip 2: 5 days
Trip 3: 5 days

We've only been to DW once, last Oct. We arrived Mon afternoon and checked out Sat and spent 2 days at Cocoa Beach. We went to all the parks in 4 days plus did MNSSHP, so it was crazy, but fun. Next time I would like to go to the 4 parks, plus do Disney Quest and the Waterparks, so I would have to stay a full 7 days(probably couldn't swing anything more)

I have been only for a five night and six night. My next trip will be six nights also. But after that I am planning a big trip(four or five years away) for twelve or fourteen days.I want enought to go to all the Orlando parks plus Seaworld and some rest days.

Our first trip was 10 days. In 2004 we stayed 8 nights & this April will be 8 nights. We arrive on a Thurs. & come home the following Friday. :cool1:

My three children and I go for two weeks each year (May/June), then return for 5 nights at Thanksgiving. Husband tries to join us for a few days in June. We usually add 2-3 nights after our June trip at US/IOA or Vero Beach. We love it! It allows us to spend 4-5 hours in a park, then leave to do some free-time activities (pool, DTD, bike riding, min. golf...) We usually return at night for a couple of hours.

We generally do one 7 days at the holidays, 4-6 days in the late winter, and three days at Food & Wine. We only have a child with us in Dec, so commando Disney is a thing of the past. I'd love a two week trip but it would have to be at least one bedroom villa. Many days we don't see the inside of any park or just go to EPCOT for dinner, so we do spend a fair amount of time at the resort.
