How long do you save confirmation sheets?

I was just wondering how long everyone saves their DVC confirmation sheets?

We've been with DVC since 2001, and I have a folder with all our sheets since then, including the ones that were cancelled. I keep track of our point useage and past vacations on the computer, so I have all the reservation numbers and cancellation numbers stored, but I wonder how important it is to keep the hard copy DVC sends us.

I had a point discrepancy in 2006, and boy was I glad I had all that stuff. But I never really had to show MS the sheets. I just sent them a letter with our activity to date, and they found the discrepancy. So I had the sheets just in case, but never had to use them.

So how far back would you save them?

Certainly, it seems vital to keep until you use it to check-in. Otherwise, I don't think it is necessary.

The fact that you have all of your past copies is pretty cool in itself, and it gives you a nice detailed history of your stays. I think you should continue keeping them. Kind of wish we had, now that I think about it.

I probably have some in my trip folders fromthe past but generally toss paperwork after the trip is over. I do, however, have a master excel spreadsheet that tells me how every single point has been used or will be used in the future (I've planned out several years in advance).

I kept all of them the first few years we were members, but now they get tossed as soon as the trip is over.

I toss them as soon as they arrive in the mail. I just log the numbers into my DVCManager (thank you DMFredrick) as I make the reservations.

Until we return home from our trip. I always take them with me and have them ready at check-in.
