How long do you like to stay at Disneyland?

I am not sure if I could ever spend too much time in Disneyland!
Last May we spent a total of 10 days doing just Disneyland and DCA and in September I was there for 6 days.
In May we are going to go for 8 days doing Disneyland and DCA and we are going to spend our additional vacation days in Legoland, Seaworld, Universal Studios, Knott's Berry Farm and Medieval Times!
We like to take the park at a nice leisurely pace and enjoy all the little things.
Surprisingly, we always come home and realize that we missed something!
For the record, most people think I am crazy!:)

3-5 days is the universal answer.

As a tongue-in-cheek statement, I'd always say there's no such thing as too long, but practically anything more than a week would be more than plenty. Ideally, I like to stay 5-7 days.

When I make last min trips 3 days, if I want a really nice vacation 5 days (and I usually thrown in 1 other park like Magic Mountain, or Universal)

minimum should be 3 though to see everything and that's in an off season

If it's your first time I wouldn't do less than five.
I had people telling me three days would be more than enough however, we ended up adding another day onto our five day park hopper when we got there!

It depends how you like to enjoy the parks. With 2 little kids, 5 days is really nice. You can take a lot of time to eat, rest and wont feel obligated to stay until closing. I don't think there are too many days at disneyland though. I'm pretty sure I could live there and not get bored!

3 days is good for me. But those 3 days it's sunrise -> closing. I pack in a TON in those 3 days because I'm a sooper DIS member with the DIS knowledge. :thumbsup2

I haven't been in a while, but when I was younger, I used to go once a year. Since I have all that Disney time stored up, I think I COULD do pretty much everything I wanted to do in 2 days, but that would be pushing it and I would be left wanting more. 3-4 would let me do everything I wanted to do and leave me feeling satisfied but wanting to come back. I think more than that and I'd start getting tired out. This is assuming single people/no kids. Add kids (or people who don't walk as fast/tire out more quickly) and you can definitely add a day or two to those estimates.

It is hard for me not to spend every possible minute in the parks while I have admission media, so I think more than 4 days of heat and battling crowds and I would start to get tired, unless the parks closed early and/or I made myself take afternoon naps. (I do plan to try the nap thing this trip, but have never tried it before. :) ) Even WITH a nap, in the summer season you can take a long nap and have 12+ hours in the parks, which can make for really long days, so I think more than 4 days at one go might be hard for me...I'd start getting tired and it would be less special.

But if I were going to do more than JUST the Disneyland Resort, then my only limit would be my bank account. :)

As I was growing up, we always went for 2 days. For the Past 4 years, we've been going for 4 days 4 nights, once a year. I think 4 days 4 nights is Perfect!!!! This July we are getting AP's for the First time in my life, I expect to go ALOT this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to be able to stay for 5-6 days. That would allow me to sit and people watch for longer periods of time, try to find more little hidden tid bits here and there, check out more of the resort hotels, experience more of DTD and of course go on more rides!!!

With the kids I'd be able to do this and they still get some pool time!!

We go once a year as well. Our trip is never shorter than 3 days and we have good knowledge of the park(s). The last trip we did 5 days and I was ready to go home by the last day. Of course, I also go in the off season and typically travel with one or more teenagers so we open and close the park.

My next trip is technically 4 days. We'll have about 12 hours our first day, then 2 full days, then a half day the day we go home. I think it will work out well. Especially since our first day is a Thursday and hopefully won't be as busy.

There really are too many variables to choosing what's perfect. I think anything in the 3-5 day range at DLR alone is good. Particularly so without small ones in the party. Maybe a day or two more if you plan to venture out to San Diego or the other LA area parks.

I think it really depends on how often you go. We can go and enjoy the parks in 3 days but we go fairly often and know the parks extremely well.

Agreed. We usually do 3-4 days, then 1-2 outside of the park. But we go a few times each year.

Ideal: 4 -6 days

Too short: Anything less then 3

Too Long: There is never too long of a time you can spend at DL! :cool1: AAH! THE NIGHTMARE THERE WOULD BE! :scared1:

I think I pretty much agree with everyone- we love 3 full days. That way we don't have to rush (haha, as long as it's not peak season). We can take our time, enjoy the day and ride our favorite attractions more than once.

I think it really depends on your style and who you're going with. When DH and I made trips together in the off season together 3 full days in the parks was enough to leisurely see everything (except entertainment, which we really didn't do). However, this year we took our 19 mo. and 4 yr old for their first trip in early January and 3 days was quite rushed. We were amazed at how much longer everything took with them. This time we spent a lot of time on characters and entertainmnet. We only ended up going on a handful of rides in DCA and missed several in Disneyland. Next time I think we will try to go for 5 days if possible.

5 days is perfect for us. That being said, we are only doing 3 days on our trip this year which I know will be enough as we have done it before but I prefer 5. With 5 we found that we didn't feel rushed at all & it just gave us more time to relax a bit & enjoy all the parks have to offer.

We used to do 3 days, but always felt rushed. Now we do 5-6 days. This allows us to rest during the day without feeling like we are missing something. We love watching shows and catching the impromptu performances on Main Street. A longer trip allows us to do this without missing out on any of the rides.
