How long do you have to use tickets

My question has many questions wrapped into it. We have 6 day park hoper/ water parks and more passes. If we only go to the parks four times and then the water parks once or twice are all my passes gone? Or do they act as separate entities? Also, if after going to the parks and then the water parks, how long before the passes expire? We are going to still be in town after we check out of Disney for another 4 nights, could we go back and use up those tickets that were left over?

They are separate, so you get 6 days/entries at the main theme parks and 6 days/entries into water parks. Potentially, you could get 12 days of use out of those tickets. Check out the ticket sticky for more detailed information.

Did you actually buy them separate or do you have a 6 day park hopper with water parks and more. If you have them separate you will get 12 days out of it. If you have a 6 day park hopper with water parks and more you can go to each park and both water parks for six days. When you use it for the first time you will have 14 days till it expires.

Even when purchased as a wpfm add on you can get 12 days out of. They are entirely separate entries and don't effect each other.

I don't understand what you mean. Whether or not he/she bought them separate or added water parks he/she can still do 6 days for each the water parks and the 4 theme parks.

The other way wouldn't really make sense. Why would it cost more to go to a less expensive park?

If you have a 6-day park hopper with water parks & more options, you are entitled to

  • Admission to a theme park for 6 days
PLUS
  • 6 visits to the water parks, DisneyQuest, mini-golf, etc.

Theme Park and Water Park admissions are separate and different in the ticket: for the Theme Park admission, it's per days; for water parks, etc, it's per visit. In the scenario described by the OP, if they visit the Theme Parks 4 times (not counting park-hopping), and the water parks twice, they would still have 2 more park days available, PLUS 4 more water park visits available. They will remain available up to 14 days after first use.

It's actually 6 DAYS at the main theme parks and 6 ENTRIES at the waterparks/more. Without adding hopping, you can only do one main park per day but you could hit all the WPM in one day b/c it's just entries for those vs days for main parks.

True. Hopping makes a difference with regard to the main theme parks. In this instance, the OP mentioned that they have hoppers, so on each of those 6 theme park days they could visit multiple parks but only use 1 day of the allotment.
