Hello! I was wondering how long it takes (specifically at Ohana or Kona) for breakfast. It is just my husband and I, we don't care about meeting characters, but I think a sit down meal in the morning would be nice! We would like to try and be at MK and AK for rope drop these two days, but I have heard about slow service in the morning, specifically with Kona. If it is going to be a 1.5 hour ordeal I think we would rather eat CS at Captain Cooks in the morning! Any tips?

Well-Kona CAN be slow if you get there later in the AM. But if you get there really early and are seated right away, it won't take anywhere near an hour and a half...

I've gotten to Kona as soon as they open, and have made rope drop at MK.

I would allow at least one and a half hours. The characters, the excitement trying to get kids to eat. It is fun but makes me:sick::sick::sick:

Since you are not interested in the characters, I would think that (once seated) you can get out of Ohana's in under an hour. The breakfast is family style ( all in one platter).

Thanks for the responses! I'm assuming the two above are for Ohana? I just looked at the price, and $25 per person for breakfast is going to be too expensive for us since we don't really care about the characters. The menu for Kona looks better and cheaper for us! Does anyone know about how long it takes for Kona, or what time you think I would be safe to make reservations for to make rope drop? :worship::worship:

I don't think Kona is that long at all. We did not time it, but we weren't there very long. If you have one of the earlier reservations and put in your meal order right away, then it shortens the time. I think the issue with Kona is the transport to MK. If you miss the monorail and there are delays at the previous location, that can add time to you travel. I think the boat goes from Poly to MK, but don't know if that is faster than monorail or not.
