How long do they leave up the Christmas decorations?

I read that the Osbourne lights remain up till 1/8/06, will the other holiday decorations remain up as well? We'd light to spend a weekend with all the extended family but, can't get everyone's dates together till Jan. and I'm hoping that the decorations will still be there the first week of Jan.

Most of the park decorations will be down before the start of the marathon weekend on Jan 6 (Friday). The resort decorations will also start coming down before the marathon and probably finish up that weekend or shortly thereafter.

I am soooo psyched to have an opportunity to see the Osbourne lights! Anything else that is still up will be a major bonus! We will be there from the 3rd to the 15th.

The last two years they've been up until at least Jan 5th or 6th.

The Jingle Jungle Parade at Animal Kingdom will also be through Jan. 8.

I think I saw that the Gingerbread House at GF and all of the other chocolate displays at the resorts come down on Jan. 2 - I really hope this is not true since I will get there on the night of the 2nd! I would make a mad dash for the Grand Floridian if I thought it would still be up. Anyone know if the Gingerbread house or other displays stayed up any later than the 2nd last year?

I don't know about the GF, but we checked into the WL last year on Jan 8th. The tree was up in the lobby when we checked in, but the next morning all the decorations were gone. I really don't remember any decorations still being up anywhere else.

I'm like you guys though. I sure hope they stay up at least through the first week of January. I'll be there Dec 9th-18th with my mom, but am taking my GD back Jan 2nd-8th and would love for her to be able to see all the decorations, too.

Osborne lights are running through Jan 8th. So I would expect everything to be up until then in MGM.
