We have ADR's at 1900 Park, Akershus, Cape May and Crystal Palace.

How long do the meals usually take? I have two sons with Autism and their attention span is pretty short.

Thanks!

I know this probably isn't very helpful, but it tends to vary. If you're set on seeing all the characters that are there, you should probably plan to be there for at least an hour, maybe an hour and a half.

Some places seem to be more efficient in the character rotation than others. When we went to 1900 for dinner, it took a while (a little over an hour) for all the characters to come to the table and they were spread out (Prince Charming...wait ten minutes...stepmother...wait five minutes...and so on). When we went to Akershus, all the princesses came to our table within a ten minute span. Our food came out quickly and the princesses came right around the time we were finished with our meals/getting dessert. That meal probably only took about 45 minutes from the time we sat down until the time we paid. Also that was during lunch, so it could possibly be faster at breakfast, when every table is getting the same food.

I think you should add 5 minutes for every character that visits after you've ordered your food. Good Luck! :thumbsup2

An hour to an hour and a half. Depending on the wait time. If you want to add the travel time give it two hours.

Many times the restaurants will work with any special situation you have. I would call (or ask your hotel concierge to assist) the day before to let them know of yours. This might help with a better table placement and a heads to the staff so they can work within your needs.

We did 6 character breakfasts on our trip in December. I don't remember being at any breakfast longer than about an hour. If it took that long, it was usually because we were waiting to take care of the check or missed a character that we were waiting on. As far as the check thing goes, take care of it early on in your meal and you should be able to finish within 45 minutes to one hour without a problem.

Also, let your server know about your situation. Maybe they can work something out to get the characters to you quicker. It never hurts to ask.

I know for us about an hour tops, sometimes as little as 45 minutes.
If you think about character buffets, being a buffet you have instant access to the food, don't have to wait for them to cook it and serve it to you. So that shaves off a bit of time!
Only issues can run into would be if characters moving slowly to get to your table, and then waiting for that last character to come around. Still, I think we're always out within an hour. Park Fare I think we take a tiny bit longer in, just really enjoy it there and we keep going back for more and more food!
Cape May breakfast the characters seem to come around fairly quick I thought - one time were out of there in a half hour.

I usually budget time-wise an hour and fifteen per character meal - and that is to include the time we check in and then wait to get seated.

Only thing that usually keeps us there longer than we plan - is waiting for the darn check! I like to ask for it before we're finished. Had a lousy server one time at Akershus for lunch last trip - asked for check when she brought out our entrees, told her we weren't going to be having dessert. Table seated next to us, sat at same time as us, got entrees same time as us pretty much.... they got dessert, finished their dessert and were out of there before we got the check. was fuming - and yes, struggling with autistic child and needed to get outta there. Asked her three times for the check and stressed we HAD to get moving out of there.
