How long did you wait to vote?

I tried to vote three times. I went before work and the line was 2 hours, and I had to get to work, so i left. I went to "lunch" at 10 and tried again, but the line was 2.5 hours and I had to get to a doc appointment. At 2:45 when i got off from work, the line was about 45 minutes, so I stood in that with no where to be. The election judge told me they were at 50% for the day so far. The 2004 election only had 30% total! My DH went after work at around 6:45 and it took him less than 5 minutes. They told him they were already at 86% and thought they might get a complete voter turn out (polls closed at 8).
Granted we are in the suburbs of DC so everyone is VERY political.

DD can't vote yet but the polling place is in the HS gym...anyway she said it was a mad house... they had people working through the halls that they finally put a note on the front doors telling them if they were voters to enter the west side (red doors) of the building ONLY! She said when the bus rounded the corner to get ready to drop them off the line stretched out the door!!!!

I had to wait about 1/2 hour and we went when the polls opened at 6 am. The wait was because the voting machines weren't working right - finally one opened up or it would have been even longer.
