How long did it take to get your passport?

I just applied for a renewal today. Mailed it USPS priority. Paid for expedited service. I'm wondering if it will actually get here in 2 weeks. How long did it take to get your most recent passport?

Got one in January. Paid for expedited service. Pretty sure it got here in about 2 weeks - definitely didn't take 3 weeks or longer.

Did you write "expedite" on the outside envelope? We sent ours priority and they didn't put expedite anywhere on the outside.

I had to apply for a new passport - mine expired when I turned 18 and I wasn't allowed to renew for a new one, so I had to go to the post office to apply for one. They put an "expedite" sticker on the outside of the envelope and sent it off for me.

Argh! They didn't put a sticker on mine. I think I'm in trouble.

My daughter just got her passport in TWO WEEKS, non-expedited. Just regular service. I was amazed! She had an expired one from before, and there was no rush for the new one...but it was very fast.

Did you include your email on the application so they can send you updates? Or if not, you can still track the status on the Department of State website. Easy to find the link, just google US passport status and you'll find it.

When are you traveling? There are resources to help if you don't receive it in time. Honestly, I think you will get it quicker than you think. Good luck!

Three weeks here for non-expetided service. We just recieved them about a week ago.

Boy, things must have changed. When I got mine, about two years ago, it took almost 5 months. No expedite process, but still.

It took exactly three weeks (non-expedited) for DH and I to get our passports. We applied at different times.

It is busier now b/c all the spring break'ers are doing it.

We received DS's in 3.5 weeks with NO expedited service. It was super quick to me.

Three years ago it took mine 16 weeks & had to contact my congressman to get it in time.

5 days without any extra services. We applied for 5 and had all of them within 7 days......they told us wait time was about 4 weeks. Have no idea how they got here so quick but they did. My parents also got their's within a week.

We applied just before new year's and received them in about 4 1/2 weeks. They said anywhere from 4 - 6 weeks is normal.

Mine took 3 weeks and 1 day, non-expedited. It was a first time passport too.
