How long did it take for you to get your DDE card?

I ordered mine last week along with making reservations for a tour. Well, I've already been billed for the tour (Disney Visa, of course!) but nothing so far for the DDE card.

Does anyone have experience with this?

I ordered mine mid January (just before our trip starting 1/22). The card has not yet arrived -- but I did notice that they only just ran my credit card in late Feb. I'm guessing that they waited until "day of shipping" to run the card and that my card is now in transit to SoCAL.

DDE sent a letter to me via email that I used as a "temporary card" during the January trip. Worked swell!

UPDATE!! The cards arrived Friday, March 11!

I ordered mine the first day that someone posted about them on the boards (I think somewhere during the second week of January) & just received my cards in the mail today.
It's a good thing Disney was willing to e-mail the letter.......it seems like a long time to wait!

I odered mine the second week of January too. We got the card finally about 2 weeks ago. For our January visit, we used a fax sent to us when we bought, affiirming that we were in fact DDE card holders. That worked great too.

I'd expect the full 6 to 8 weeks before you get your permanent cards, so getting the fax (or email PDF) copy would be a good backup if you are going in the next two months.

We ordered our card middle of January and it hasnt arrived yet... but I just noticed I was charged for it last week, so hopefully it is in transit.

We too used the emial for our January trip with no problems.

I ordered my DDE card January 6. It was charged January 20. I received the cards just yesterday. I did use the email at a few restaurants in mid-January without any problems.

I called the Dining crew to check on my cards recently because we had ordered in Jan and not received them and our temp email was going to expire.

I was told that they had a glitch in Jan and that many of the cards were not produced for some reason. They redid my email (for a trip this weekend) but we got or cards (with 2 additional months since they were so late) this past week.

I just returned from a trip and used our letter. Ordered the card on Jan 26th and still don't have it.

Was told by two CMs that they have yet to even see one card - everyone has been using the letters.

Sometimes I was asked for ID, sometimes I was not.

We saved well over the $50 already and two more trips this year!

We ordered Feb 1st and still no cards. I won't be looking for them soon as the January people didn't get them yet. We had no trouble using our email on our Feb. trip.

I used the letter in Feb no problem and can't wait to be back in April to use my card!!!

I ordered mine the beginning of Feb. and got the email right away. I'm waiting on my cards, but I know it'll be a while. When I ordered, the woman told me that their office only has a couple of people in it and they are getting thousands of requests so please bear with them

Ordered ours mid-January and got them the last week of February. So figure about 6 weeks to get the cards. We got the email the same day we ordered them.

I'm confused. I thought the card was good a year from the order date?! That's the only reason I've been waiting until April 1st to order mine. We leave 30 April. Should I go ahead and order it? Have they been extending the expiration dates on everyone's card??

They've been giving a little extra time on it since it takes so long to deliver. For example, I ordered mine 2/17/05 and it is good until 3/31/06.

I would call and ask what the expiration date would be if you ordered today. You may want to wait until mid-April to make it longer if you are planning a May trip next year. Then just use the e-mail on your trip next month.

I don't know if thier giving much extra time anymore. I ordered mine on March 1st and it expires on March 31st. (They always expire on the last day of the month)

We ordered them on January 10 and received them yesterday. If you haven't received your cards by vacation time, the restaurants will accept a copy of your e-mail confirmation.
