2 hours!

I have been going to Disney since I was a little girl and love it! So many fond memories with my family! My parents really helped with the "magic".

My husband, however had never been until his 20's. At first he shook his head and just didn't "get it"! Over the next several years we went with our 3 children. We went for a week in August 2003 and it was hot! I always asked my husband to stop at the kiosks and inquire. He always said, "I will not buy a timeshare. I don't believe in them." Well, I got him to stop and when the CM asked if we wanted a tour (at the time the tour was at BWV), my husband asked, "Is it air-conditioned?" Yes it was, so we went...2 hours later we bought. I financed our first 160 SSR, but paid it off in 2 years. We caught addonitis in 2008 and bought 160 points again at SSR, again added on through Disney and paid it off in a year.
Four things I would do different:
Buy sooner (even my husband agrees)
Buy where you want to stay. Love SSR, as my husband golfs, but love BCV and VWL better.
Buy resale ( I didn't know much about the resale market and sites like this. I was skeptical about the resale market due to its past (very past) history. Now I am comfortable with resale and when we catch the bug again, which I know I will I will buy resale.
Buys smaller contracts so I can give to each of my children later in life DS 15, DS 11, and DD 9
Enjoy
