How long before I get confirmation in the mail?

Hi everyone,
My husband's cousin gave us 4 nights at SSR. She made the reservation over 2 weeks ago, but we haven't received our confirmation copy in the mail. How long should it take to get it?? When I book a regular room, I usually get my confirmation in a matter of days.

His cousin either lost or can't find her confirmation :confused3. I tried to go on Disney.com and use the find a reservation, but it won't work without a confirmation number.

Is there another way for us to check on our reservation?

If they are getting a paper confirmation mailed to them, those can take a week to 10 days. DVC can also e-mail the confirmation.

Either way, if they give you the confirmation number you can link that to your disneyworld.com account.
 
Usually, the confirmation letter is sent only to the member who made the reservation. A confirmation email is offered in addition (again, to the member making the reservation). They will need to forward the confirmation letter or email to you as you are not likely to get anything from Disney directly.

They were given a confirmation number when the reservation was made. You should be able to verify your reservation online using that number. They can look that up online thru their account at www.dvcmember.com .

I haven't gotten a hard-copy confirmation for the last two reservations I made. I just get an email with the information.
 

Even if the member requested a paper confirmation, it will be mailed to the member. I request paper ones when booking for non-family and then I make a copy and forward it when it arrives. It's not as efficient as the email confirmations.
 
Thanks to everyone for the replys. She has been asking me if I got my confirmation in the mail. :confused: The next time she asks, I am just going to ask her to look it up and print a confirmation number for us.
 
DVC won't send you the confirmation. Even though your name is on the reservation, the cousin owns the reservation, so all correspondence will go to her.

What she can do is call DVC and ask them to send her an e-mail confirmation, and she can then forward that to you.
