How long is the typical line at a QS restaurant in the parks at the end of July? I waited in line at the Columbus Zoo this summer for 45 minutes to get hot dogs and gave up since the line was not moving fast. I would gladly eat somewhere not as popular if it had a shorter line.

It depends on when. At 5:30? Usually service is pretty quick. At 6:30? Bring a book.

said timing is key. If you go to rope drop eat a little earlier - 11:30 or so - and you'll find shorter lines. At 12:30 lines will be bad and finding tables could be worse. If it's an AM EMH park you may want to be a little earlier.

One thing people often miss is that each cashier usually has two lines they are supporting. They will just alternate turning left then right to help both lines. People have a tendency to get in one line.

Most of the restaurants open at 11:30 am for lunch. We always ate at this time and never waited and always got a seat.

For dinner, we would eat between 4:30 and 5:00 pm and same thing, never really an issue in terms of waiting in line to eat.

For breakfast, we just used a snack credit since we were eating a bit earlier, and then used our other snack credit for a snack later in the night.

We were on the QSDP and it worked out really really well!
