We closed on our second re-sale contract on 15th March and as of today (11 working days later) we are still not in Disney's system. I thought it only took 10 working days and our first contract was well inside this time frame. :confused3

Has anyone taken this long or do you have any suggestions as to what I can do? I need this contract to make a reservation for August

It seems a little longer than average from what I've seen. My contracts were both in the system within 8 days. I'm sure the timeframe varies with their workload, and the holiday probably didn't help either.

You may want to try calling Member Accounting. I know one member who had a similar situation and caught the right CM in the right mood. She went out of her way to 'walk' the paperwork through the system and help my friend out. YMMV, but it may be worth a try.

It took nearly a month on my resale to get into the system, and another two weeks before we could actually use it, since the closing service had not sent over the $100 for the transfer fee. It had all been transferred, and everything, but apparently it was done by phone. Once I called the closing company--they sure seemed clueless about why they still had one of my checks(uh, perhaps I was giving them a tip??)--they took the check right over. The closing company had been recommended by several people here on the Dis, but they were awfully dumb, like they hadn't ever closed on a Disney contract before. It seemed like they were all sharing the intelligence in just one brain--I'm not trying to be rude, they just didn't seem "on the ball". :sad2:

I closed on Wednesday, March 2nd and was in the system on Monday, March 7th.

I called member services today and we are in the system at last and made our first reservation :cool1: :cheer2:
