How long a wait?

I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come at GE.

Universal opened its new Hagrid's ride today and everyone, including local papers, is reporting a 10 hour wait.

The Universal app is now reporting 480 minutes (8 hours).

Honestly, I would hope Disney will control access to SW:GE to prevent those kind of wait times.

I would expect that wait just to get in the first day.

I did hear that the ride was shutdown for awhile due to lightning so I'm sure that added to the wait time a bit. Even at 8 hours or 6 hours that would be a no from me. For as expensive as tickets are, I wouldn't stand in line that long for any one ride.

I truly can't imagine anyone, regardless of how big of a fan they are, waiting that long for what's likely a 2:30 minute ride. That's an entire park day just to wait for one single ride. I feel like the actual wait isn't actually that long...
