Hi. Just curious if anyone out there has driven from Nova Scotia to Orlando and how long it took them to get there?

We are driving from PEI one week from today!! Dh has always done a real good job in timing road trips. He has figured it is about 27 hours door to door. We are about an hour from Moncton, so that would be 26 hours from Moncton. Just add your travel time to Moncton and that will give you a rough idea. I think he used the Rand McNally web site to figure it out. Hope this helps. We are planning 3 days of driving to help break up the time for our 3 and 5 yos. Once you plan your route, Roomsaver.com has some great lodging coupons!

I found a few good web sites by searching USA INTERSTATES, hope this helps you plan.

We drove 2 years ago. We stopped our first night in Boston (used Priceline) and second night in Fayetteville, NC(again, priceline) . We arrived in Orlando around 3:00 pm on the third day. We left from Halifax and it took around 34 hours. We encountered lots of traffic in Washington, DC so take 2 hours off our total time. A helpful website is www.freetrip.com.

We returned from our trip a week ago! We had an incredible time! Anyway, it took us 30 hours from the Confederation Bridge. It wasn't a bad drive. Once you get past Virginia, gas and accomodations are super cheap! In Georgia, we saw gas for 89.9 a gallon. We also found hotel coupon booklets at gas stations/ McDonalds/convenience stores for all the States along our route- they offered some great rates for a night's accomodations. We spent between $30-$49 a night. Also, once you hit the Carolinas, the speed limit is 70 miles/hour - you just zip along!

We went down in Sept. a week after the WTC on Sept. llth. We left on a Thursday at 5am. and drove until 8pm. We got up the next morning and started out again and kept driving until we hit Orlando, about 29 hours.

Hopefully, I'll get it right this time. We left on a Thurs. at 5am and stopped overnight at 8pm the same night. We got up the next morning and headed out again around 6am and was in Orlando at 8:30pm that night (Friday).
