How long a drive from Cocoa Beach to Hilton Head?

How far a drive would it be from Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral to the DVC resort at Hilton Head? I am figuring 5-6 hours. Am I way off?

Bump. Has anyone driven from Vero Beach to Hilton Head? That might give me an idea. We might consider stopping off at HH on our way home from our cruise next year, but I am trying to assess its feasibility. Any help would be appreciated.

While I've never done the drive, I seem to remember several people saying it is a 6 hr drive from WDW. Port Canaveral wouldn't be much less. It should be doable since you will get dumped off the boat before the coffee has kicked in. I think it would be a nice addition to the cruise vacation. I really like HH.

Wed rove from WDW to Charlotte and that was 8 hours. We passed HH and sort of near the Cocoa Beach area on the way, so I would think your estimate of 6 hours is pretty good.

Your 6 estimate is right on the money. Pending you take only a few quick stops and miss any traffic jams in JAX.

We drove to HH after getting of the ship in February. It took us 7 hours, but that's including a stop in Savannah (bad decision, got lost, wasted a lot of time!). We probably could have made it in 5 1/2 hours had we not stopped. We spent two nights at HH before heading back home to MI. We all thought it was a great way to unwind after the cruise!

Thanks for confirming what I estimated. I think we are going to spend the day we get back from the cruise at Kennedy Space Center and then either stay in the Cocoa Beach area that night or drive up toward or past Jacksonville. DW and DSD really want to go to Savannah (due to its Girl Scout significance) and I thought this would be a great way to see HH, also.
