How Late Until Studio Rides Lines get Long?

How are the lines at Universal Studios (how late in the day before they start getting long - like over 20 min?) We are going Sat, Dec 18. Our plan is to do Hulk, Spider Man & Doom Freefall first when everyone is at Potter, then go to Studios, then do Potter late in the evening 8-10PM. Was planning on hitting Three Broomsticks for lunch at 11:30 before the lunch crowd, then headed to studios after lunch for Mummy, Men in Black, Make up Show, and JAWS (my kids have never done JAWS). Wondering if we should do late lunch after Studios rides or if lines at Studios shouldn't be too bad at 12:30?

The lines shouldn't be too bad at the Studios until later in the day due to the Macy's parade and Christmas concert that night. Middle of the day should be fine.

I'd hit the studios first. Hulk and Spiderman do not have significant lines unless it is REALLY busy. The lines for Men In Black, Simpsons, and Jaws can build quickly because Universal is too cheap to staff them to capacity. I waited a half hour for MIB yesterday because they only had one side running.

With rides like Spiderman and Hulk, they're pretty much going to be running what they are going to run. Also, Rip Ride Rockit is one you want to hit right away because the line builds quickly on that. Now, I would expect them to have it staffed better on Saturday since the hours are longer, but it's hard to know what their thinking is on WHEN that full staffing should start during the day.

This makes sense. Now that I think about it, better to go to Studios, then IOA for Lunch at Three Broomsticks then onto the coasters as I'm then not going back and forth. Although maybe not the best idea to ride the coasters after lunch.
