how late do wdw buses run?

I'm wondering how the wdw buses work when you have dinner at another resort, such as the CA grill in the contemporary and you don't finish dinner until 9 pm, how do you get back to the ASM resort? How late do the buses run at night? thanks for any input you can give.
We will be going in middle Sept. (value season)...does this mean wdw transportation will be slower?

You would take a bus to PI or DD and transfer to one to your home resort.
Busses run from the reosrts to PI until 2 hours after closing.
As to the parks, they run from the parks to the resorts for two hours after closing.
The transportation will be about the same as anytime in the middle of Sept.

Busses from the parks to resorts run at least one hour and often a little longer after the park closes. Thus, if you finish by that time in relation to MK, you can to MK and take the bus back to the resort. If time for busses there has ended, alternative routes are to (a) take Cont. bus to another park that is still open and your resort bus from there, or (b), if no other park is still open, take Cont. bus to DD and catch AS bus there (that runs until 2 am. or thereabouts). Either of those options can take a very long time, particularly the second one (often 1 1/2 hours). If you are faced with those, I would simply take a cab from Cont. (easy to get and a 10 minute ride).

Buses run to Downtown Disney until 2 am

Buses run to the theme Parks 1 to 2 hours after the Park Closes.

Keep in Mind in Sept the MK Closes early on the Weekdays around 7 pm

Epcot Always Closes at 9 pm.

The Monorail should run on the Resort Beam untill 11 pm but the Buses connecting to Resorts not on the Monorail will shut down 1 hour after the Magic Kingdom Closes.

Example: when Magic Kingdom Close is at 7 pm then Last Bus is at 8 pm
you can then take a Bus to Downtown Disney untill 2am and change Buses to the one
that goes to your Disney Resort, (This can be time Consuming to do this)

Also the Monorail from TTC to Epcot Runs till about 10:30 pm each Night, or one hour after MK
closes which ever is Later.

Basicly go to the Contemporary bus stop, take the first bus that comes, get off at that place and transfer to the All-star bus.
