If our flight is scheduled to arrive t 9:55 pm will ME claim our bags and deliver them for us? Or will we need to claim them ourselves? We will have sleepy toddlers and would like to avoid the baggage claim.

They stop claiming bags at 10pm, so you will have to get your own bags and bring them to the ME bus.

It would probably be better to claim them yourself anyway. That way you won't be woken up by ME delivering your bags at 3 am

Thanks for the replies....In my experience ME has the fastest service with evening arrivals....Those ME people want to go home! Last time our luggage arrived at the resort before we did on an 8:00 arrival.

If the flight is scheduled to arrive before 10:00 why wouldn't they claim them?

The arrival is at 9:55 pm.. Even a SLIGHT delay on landing or getting the luggage into the area that DME gets it would cause it not to be taken that night.

TAG YOUR BAGS.

IF you land on time, let DME get the bags. Just pack what you need to go to bed and get up the next morning in a carryon. When you arrive at the resort, tell them you want your bags held till the next day.

Go to bed, get up the next morning and head for the parks. Your bags will be in your room when you come back.

Even if your bags miss the cutoff, they will be held at the airport overnight and picked up by DME the next day. Your bags will be in your room when you come back.

If they are not, then throw the clothes you wore the previous day in the wash, make a claim on your bags. If they don't show up the next day, then rent a car and make a Wal-Mart run.

If you land very late, then yes, go to the carousel and pick up your bags.

FOLKS, wasting time on vacation on "what ifs" is nuts!! In 99.99% of the cases you have wasted that time needlessly. Disney provides a service that saves you time and hassle. Let them provide it!! Only .01% of the time will you have to waste the time in the worse case scenario!!

Thank you so much, you just made my DH very happy and made me feel a bunch better about letting DME get our bags for our upcoming 9:40 landing.

We usually arrive at night and I have never had DME wake me with delivering our bags. Usually, after a certain hour, they will just leave the bags with the bellhops. The bellhops will then leave you a message (on your phone, but without it ringing) telling you to contact them in the morning and they'll bring your bags up then.
