How late are ticket windows open?

If the posted hours for DL show that it will be open until midnight, how late are the ticket windows open? I am thinking we might wish to go ahead and purchase our tickets the night of arrival rather than waiting until the first day we are going into the parks--thinking that the lines may not be too bad later in the evening than earlier in the day.

I don't know about the ticket windows, but you might want to check with your hotel. . . some hotels sell Disneyland tickets.

I believe you can only trade in the GAD voucher at the ticket booths.

The last two times I've gone, I've picked up our tickets the night before. When I called, they told me that the ticket booths would be open until an hour before closing. So if it's midnight.. it would be 11. However, I've heard conflicting stories here on what time they actually close. I would make sure to get there as soon as you can.

I called in June and I believe they told me that there would be a ticket booth open until park closing. I wouldn't push it but if you got there by 9 PM on a midnight closing day I imagine you'd be just fine. (We ended up arriving around maybe 7 or 7:30.)

FWIW, Darkbeer has mentioned that the northwest Ticket Booth stays open until at least DL's closing time.

Even if the ticket booth is open, you should be aware that the day you redeem your GAD voucher is day 1 of your ticket use, which not be a big issue if you plan to upgrade to an AP. However, if you have not had an AP before, you will also have to have your picture taken and the pass activated that day IN THE PARK.

To avoid this, use your GAD voucher on the day before your first park day and upgrade to a 2 day PH. Then the next day -- day 2 of your PH, make sure you go to the AP processing center in DL or DCA and upgrade again to the DVC APs. As to expiration, for example, if you redeem your GAD voucher on June 11, your AP will be good for visits (excluding block out dates) until June 11, 2011. Best of luck -- Suzanne
