First of all, not defending FP+ here at all. I am not a fan on any level. However, just wanted to say that I was stuck in that type of FP+ return line last February and it really did move very fast. Probably took us about 10 minutes to get through the FP+ scanner.
But it's not. It's one you might get occasionally during the day due to various circumstances (in this case the ride went down and came back up) but it is not typical. I've seen them back up on occasion but it's not a regular thing.
Gotcha. Trolling from the comfort of your own computer.
Carry on.
Nothing you just posted has anything to do with FP+ and that line. You cannot sit there and tell me that isn't a typical FP+ line you'll see several times a day while going through the parks? If it isn't, then why did Disney build FP+ queues outside the Fp+ queues?
Really, because the Fp+ lines I saw this past August were very similar to the ones I saw last November during Thanksgiving (except for the days that we go lucky and ran into dead parks).

This. Those OP's pix don't mean anything without knowing what the line inside is. The Mickey readers are often where the longest line is for FP+. Space Mountain is the worst for this. There the Mickey reader line can extend to under TTA but once in you walk all the way down to the ride loading and you'll usually be on in 3 loadings or less.
It's how much the line wait has increased this year from last year with the difference being fp+ and a reduced capacity for the ride. It has everything to do with that picture that supposedly shows how long the waits are. I don't care if the line is a mile long- it's how long I wait to get on the ride that counts.
And never mind the fact that the subject of this thread is that fp+ "lovers" are being incredulously asked how is this line acceptable- when the cause of the excessive line had little to do with fp+.
You tried to make a point and you didn't to bother to check and see if there was anything else that could've been the cause of a line that looks horrid because you are intent on proving fp+ to be terrible. Perhaps it is, but the proof isn't in this picture.
We have never seen, let alone waited in a line for POC. Ever.
That is one of my main points about this situation, that it's unacceptable to me that the FP+ lines get that long and go out into major walkways. That's bad show and it leads to congestion and I think it's unacceptable. I've been in those long lines and yeah they do move quickly, it still doesn't make it right.

THE RIDE WAS DOWN 2 HOURS BEFORE THIS PHOTO! The situation would have normalized by the time this photo was taken.
And sorry, I don't see how that line is acceptable. Would it make it better if that line was down inside the ride.... heck yes it would.
