My DD is in the CP down at Disney now and she has heard good things about this place. Has anyone been there recently and what did you think?

We ate there last week but may not be the best to give an opinion as we are vegetarian. What we ordered was very good (veggie pasta) but I did notice the lady at the table next to us only ate maybe 5 bites of her burger. Could be she just wasn't hungry, though. Service was not the best here I have to say. Our server disappeared for quite a while....so long we had to flag down someone else. We ordered our DS a pizza kids meal first thing as he was starving. We were assured his pizza would be out in 5 minutes. We ended up getting our entrees before he got his (and we ordered a good 10 minutes after we ordered his pizza). While the food was pretty good don't know if we'd go here again.

I've been there once and we had a very good meal, although we had a terrible waitress (we have eaten so many TS meals at Disney and this is absolutely the only one that sticks out in my mind as bad service -- it was REALLY bad). But I still would recommend it and we would go back.

ate there about a week ago...had apps: crabcakes (excellent), calamari (excellent) and onion rings (outstandingly excellent...key lime dip was over-the-top good) For entrees, we all had steak...DH had it with bleu cheese topping, son & I had same steak but with crab topping. Very good, cooked as ordered. For desserts, DH had individual apple pie...liked the filling & ice cream & sauce, but thought the crust was doughy. Son & I both had the chocolate espresso torte...OMG,best chocolate dessert we've had at Disney (and we've been to lots...I mean LOTS...of Disney restaurants.

Service was fine - not too much, not too little...just right.

Our experience wasn't horrible. It just wasn't good enough to justify making the trip back over there. Service was downright bad. We dined there with a party of nine and no one was overly impressed. Now, it wasn't SOOO horrible that I wouldn't consider giving it another chance in the future...If you are staying at a resort near DD or at SSR, itself---than I might consider giving it a try.

I think it's good enough to dine here if you are staying at SSR but not good enough to travel to it. Dined here 3 weeks ago and service was slow; food average.

We were there for the first time a month ago. We were very pleased with the food, the service and the atmosphere. DH LOVED his lamb. You can sit inside or outside on the patio. We'll put it on our list for a return visit.

We stay at SSR quite a bit and we LOVE the Turf Club. We have had both lunch and dinner here. I have to say the service can be slow, but the food is to die for! Just make sure you communicate with your server as to your expectations, or time limit, etc and you won't have any problems. I have never seen the restaurant crowded.

The strip steak with the bleu cheese - yuuuummmmm. Had an angus cheesburger at lunch - yuuummmm.

Sitting outside on the river is amazing if the weather isn't too hot.

I really think this is one of the best kept TS restaurants at WDW.

My wife and I ate there once. Very nice, food done perfect and wonderful waiter.

I've always been happy with the Turf Club. Everything I've eaten there has been delicious(but I don't think I have a very sophisticated palate). I don't think I'd travel to SSR to dine there, but it's wonderful to have a nice place like this within walking distance when I stay there(which I do quite a bit!).:thumbsup2

We have been there once. It was wonderful. To us, it was a hidden gem...very unexpected. We loved it!

Even if I weren't staying at SSR I would seek out a meal at the Turf Club. Excellent burgers, sandwiches, pasta dishes, and service has always been terrific during our many visits.

Also, I would suggest going on a day you will be at DTD the boat ride there is very nice and the walkway is also.

I loft the Turf Club and we always try to stop there every trip!!! Steak with crab topping is delish!!!

The Turf Club is my favorite restaurant at WDW. I would go out of my way to eat there, anytime.
