Hey diser's, I'm trying to find a good date to go to The world between Jan. and May. Everyone has said the beginning of Jan and the beginning of May. I think i'm looking for into the beginning of may. I'm looking at my unofficial guide and it looks like the crowds are a little higher between april and may becuase of college spring break but in the actual month of may it evens out as low..Do any of you have any experience in this month that could possibly help me decide..thanx

The beginning of January is usuually less crowded than mid May and not as hot (AK is unbearablly hot on a normal May day). Overall the crowds get lower after Easter and steadily rise until Memorial weekend. They will be on weekends towards the end of the month if MGM has Starwars weekends like normal.

I was there the end of April last year, and then again on Mothers Day Weekend in May. The crowds were not bad at either time - but were lighter over Mother's Day Weekend then the end of April. Over Mother's Day, I was there with another adult, and we managed to hit all the major attractions (all Mountains, Potc, Buzz, Alien, Phillharmonic, Pooh, Peter Pan, road the RR around the park, HM, etc, can't remember what else, but there was more) on a Sunday in MK between 9 am and 3 pm (we even rode several 2 - 3 times).

Since I normally go in early December, I'm used to lighter crowds, and May was good enough for me. I plan my next trip (after this Sept) for May 2008.

I went this past May 8-11, and it was pretty hot and seemed crowded to me. Of course, not as crowded as let's say, middle of the summer, but still fairly crowded. The best trip that I ever took crowd and weather wise was the very first week of February (1-9) back in 2003. The crowds were non-existent, and during the day it was in the mid 70's, so it was warm enough for shorts if you wanted (which I wore), but not too warm for jeans (which bf wore). At night it was cooler and you needed pants, but still not bad.

Sorry to flip flop on you but now i'm liking february. Can anyone tell me a little bit more about this month?

We always do a trip around the first couple weeks in May. Usually for F&GF at Epcot, and SWW at MGM. It's hotter than Jan., but being here year round, the heat isn't too bad. I won't swim at the resort in Jan., I will in May.

Early Febuary is good- it gets more expensive and crowded as the winter breaks and college spring breaks begin later in the month. The weather is usually t-shirts and long pants during the day but I carry a jacket for the evening. Sometimes though it will be unusually cold and you will want more.

We usually go in May (Mother's day week). The crowds were not too bad, the weather was good. Ok, high 80,s - low 90's no humidity was good for me, I still was thawing out from winter. I will still book May, I love that time of year.

I was there 1/2 way through the 3rd week of May 2001 and first week of February 2002.

May trip we were lucky. Crowds were very managable. Not annoying at all. 30 min waits for most popular attractions. Weather was pretty nice. High around 84 each day and humidity not bad. Enjoyed the garden displays during festival at Epcot.

February was great crowd wise. No crowds. (couple months after 9/11, though.) Weather was weird. 2 days highs in low 80's--4 days highs 50's low 60's. More clouds than usual. Needed layers of clothes and had to pack more than usual...:confused3 That said, we're hoping to go 1st week Feb in 2007...
