That was DH’s experience. He’s had FO at some very high end restaurants, and felt BOG topped them all. You could actually taste the onions, not just whatever broth they used. The server told us they slowly cook the onions for hours every morning for it.
But I read recently here that it wasn’t vegetarian anymore. The person gave no basis for the statement, though I stopped checking for a response. Maybe they were wrong after all?
Not that DH or DS have any interest in going to Wdw...
I'm not real sure it ever was truly vegetarian, unless ordered without the cheese on top. Gruyere cheese is typically made with rennet. I'll let y'all look that up.
