How is the food?

Our opinion is that the food is good to very good. Definitely better than RCL. We have eaten in the MDRs and Palo. I agree with the comment about the desserts being lacking in flavor.

That's funny because I'm exactly the opposite lol! I think the food on RCL is way better than on Disney.

I think you have to consider that they are preparing things on a banquet basis.

Food that cooks well in large batches will generally be better. i.e. braised items (short ribs).

Foods that really need individual attention. i.e. Grilled items will generally stink.

I found all food in Palo and Remy to be excellent.

Well--I've dined at WDW on a regular basis since 1975 and we go out to eat around here at least 3-4 times a week.

I would give the food an 8 out of 10.

As was said--not gourmet. But pretty good.

You can ask for seconds (and other items) at your MDR meals, and that is something you can't do at other TS restaurants. As an example, that first night in Enchanted Garden I had scallops AND Prime rib. Both pretty good.

The only really bad item I had all week was a veal chop at Royal Court.

The "fast food" things were fine and Palo and Remy both very good.
