Hello,

staying at POR,and we lik the food court there, but I would like to go to the GF see the gingerbread house.

Can someone telle me how the foodcourt at GF is? As a reference, we are not picky, and we like POR foodcourt and Peco's Bill at MK. As long as there is something besides fried chicken and burgers, we're ok.

Is it very crowded - at dinner time?

tia,

We didn't think it was very good. Peco Bill's is much better.

I wouldn't really call Gasparilla Grill a "food court" in the sense that POR or the other moderate resorts have a food court. This quick service location has burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads and the like, but isn't nearly as elaborate a food court as you have seen at POR. You certainly can find a quick, relatively inexpensive bite to eat and they do have a few interesting sandwiches and wraps. You can access the menu at wdwinfo.com under dining.

Gasparilla's is one of my favorite counter service locations after Earl Of Sandwich. Plus I think their menu has a lot more to offer when you compare it to some of the other counter service locations in the other Deluxe Resorts.

We went a few years ago and they had a villans buffet at the grand floridian. It was really quite nice. I would suggest going over to see the gingerbread houses, shop at their stores and park and take the monoral to disney for the night. I have eaten at Victoria and Alberts as well, a great splurge for the night if you can swing it! I would definately go to visit this fine hotel. Enjoy.

I agree with this. POR has a much more extensive selection, as do most of the value and moderate resorts, in their food court area. The deluxe resorts don't have as extensive a counter service menu, perhaps in part because they also offer table service.

Generally, the food courts at the value and moderate resorts will offer a broader range of items.

I am hoping to try Gasperillas this time as well as the Quick service at the Poly. I hope that they are good.

I took my son and daughter to the Grand Floridian to see the Gingerbread House and we ate at Gasperilla's.
We all decided to order the Jerk Chicken Salad Sandwich....it is my new favorite sandwich. We took our food out onto the patio, right in front of the boats, with a view of the MK and monorail. We really enjoyed our day! We must have spent 3-4 hours exploring the hotel and just relaxing...just enjoy your time there!

My favorite thing about Gasparilla is the outside seating with a nice view.As far as the choices in the menu,I would consider them limited!! I think I once ate a Reuben hot dog there to try something different, can't say I hated it,but I didn't love it either.

The jerk sandwich is great and in fact has so much chicken in it - it is split in 2 that 2 people could easily share this. It is relaxing at Gaspirillos that you can eat outside and enjoy the view of the castle.
