How is the food at Typhoon Lagoon?

I have checked out the menus and it seems there are decent choices. Is it all counter service and you eat outside? Anywhere you can get out of the sun to eat? I have read that the donuts are yummy for breakfast, what are the dipping sauces? Thanks

We generally get the cheeseburgers and pizza and they are your average fast-food meals. Not too bad. It is all CS and you eat outside. There are many shaded places to eat, but be careful of the aggressive birds!

And another heads up...TL does not have lids for their cups. Make sure you have a handle on your tray while walking or you will have a disaster. DH was walking up the stairs with our tray, lost his balance and the drinks went tumbling down...

It is typical counter service fast food. I have found the pizza to be fine and also the foot long hot dogs. Most of the places (unless you are ordering from one of the carts) have ample amounts of seating (in the shade).

Don't forget the ice cream sundaes in the sand pails! They're huge, plenty to feed a family!

We'll be visiting TL 2x when we go next week! I can't wait!!!

The foot-long hotdogs are really good. One of the CS places also had a tuna sandwich and I think some salads on the menu (as of a couple weeks ago), if you're looking for something a bit lighter than burgers & fries type of stuff.

You get a vanilla dipping sauce for the donuts. It does cost extra but is a favorite of our. My family also like the ice cream dots at one of the carts in TL.

The birds love the fries for some reason. Don't do like some people and set your fries aside sort of out of the way while you're eating the burger or hot dog. The birds will get em. Most of the time they just sit off to the side and yap until someone throws em a fry. And someone always does.
