Thinking of going the first week in June this year. Any idea how the corwds are I believe schools are still in session . Thanks

I'd be very intested in that answer as well, we are going June 1-8

We went last year at this time and are doing it again this year. During the week the crowds were great. Slight build up in the morning but you could walk onto anything in fantasyland in that time. We did all of fantasyland, matterhorn, pirates, pooh, and splash and then had lunch at hungry bear. This was a Wed during that first week. Approx ride times were around 30min for rides like space and indy during the mid afternoon. Nights were about the same. Weekends get increasingly more busy as you go day by day. Friday a little crowded. Friday night even more. Saturday very busy. Saturday night even more. etc...

Weekdays for us were just what we wanted. We did get there at rope drop each day during the week.

I took this shot on a Friday I do believe.....

Where are you guys staying at during this time?

One bit of bad news though...it looks like fantasmic! will be down during this time (hopefully not!) and remember dreams come true could end as well. I pray that if someone at Disneyland is reading this please oh please have these going during this time.

last year was a bit different than in previous years because summer crowds didnt hit until way later in the summer...I remember first week being so so and 2nd week of June being crowded and then it dropped at the end of june...usually first week of June its not bad because not all kids are out of school yet..so if your going to be there first few days of June you should be fine:goodvibes

btw KCMike, hours for June arent out yet so they dont have schedules for anything... fireworks will be going on for sure even if only on the weekend....

We go at this time every year. Previous posters are correct about low crowds but be advised that it is often a time for school field trips and you will have a grad night on June 4th so DL will close early. We always collect fastpasses during the morning, as lines are usually shorter, and use them in the evening when locals tend to arrive.

We are also going to be in the parks during this time - May 30 thru June 3rd! :cool1: Hoping for great weather and light to moderate crowds!:thumbsup2

We will be there May 31st thru June 5th. We have been the second/third week of june many many times and the crowds weren't too bad at all. We're thinking it'll be even less crowded that first week, esp on the weekdays! :)

we are staying at the PPH. June 1-8. Are the June hours and shows and stuff out yet? If so where would i find them?

We were in DL in 2007 during the first week of June and found the crowds to be very manageable. The only exception was Friday afternoon, which we had expected. It was an awesome trip. Here's to hoping that you have low crowd levels and a great time!

I must be the odd one out then....we were there last year June 3-5, and I was very surprised how crowded it was! TONS of tween and teen school groups racing all around -- lots of unruly kids and some not very polite or respectful -- they just plowed into us as they raced to get in line before us. I posted after our trip and others commented on it also.

Yes, it was very managable by getting there early, using FP and so on, but I would still classify it as busy. I don't want to be a downer, but I would hesitate to go during that timeframe again, mostly due to all the kid groups. I guess you can tell they really bugged me!:rotfl:

I love the first week of June. Longer park hours great weather, the crowd level isn't so bad. It's managable. The pic above with the wait times is pretty accurate. Use fastpasses as they always help no matter what time of year you go. I find it starts picking up near the middle of the 2nd week by still not peak summer crowds. Do watch though that the first thursday in June has a grad night where the park closes early at like 9:00. So it's always a good day to high tail it to universal or go do something differnt other then Disneyland.
