How is the DVC Christmas Tree pass going?

We are headed down in a few days and are due to get one of the VWL Christmas trees next week. I was just wondering since that has started all ready how it is going.

Hello and back from OKW. I am happy to report that tree one made it to the next Diser on the list. We had the pleasure of meeting Mr and Mrs. JMMilinak (sp) as they were in the villa just across the street in Turtle Pond. We had a large tree so Joe just picked it up and carried it across the street! I also got to do a mini food exchange too! We were leaving and had half a case of water and pop left so I gave it to them too. Joe had kept the tree a secret from his DW and she was so thrilled. The best part was the hug I received! Great to get to know fellow Dis'ers and share holiday joy. Lookikng forward to hearing how the rest of the passing of tree goes. Wish I was still there too. This is such a great idea. Thanks for all the hard work Sue. It is working!

Just back from OKW today. Tree # 2 was packed and dropped off at the front desk this am waiting for the 2nd family to pick it up tomorrow. Glad to have participated in this. Thanks Sue for all the hard work and thanks Michelle for the initiative to start a 2nd OKW tree! The tree looked fabulous. The expression on the little ones' eyes when that tree topper went on was just great! Will post pictures as soon as I am able to download.

We arrived home last night from VWL--it was a great vacation.
I left the second VWL tree for the next person on our list.
Now, to get our tree up at home and get the Christmas decorations out!

it went great at BWV!! we did it for the first time. it was our first time staying home and a great way to start it. we checked out sunday, so hopefully all is still going well.

We really enjoyed the BWV tree from 11/28 to 12/3. We placed it on the coffee table in front of the glass doors in the living room. It was easily seen from the Boardwalk front doors!

There was some minor confusion getting the tree since we were the first on the list. Packaging Services and Belldesk couldn't find it the first night. Then we checked with Housekeeping the next day and they had it stored.

It was a great way to start the Christmas magic for the trip and everyone enjoyed it!

I can't wait to get down there and see OKW Tree #1!!! December 24th will be a magical day, as we've been keeping it a secret from my mom!!! How much is the proposed shipping back to the owner? It sounds like a beautiful, large tree!! OH, I CAN'T WAIT!!

Just returned after having the BCV tree for a week! The tree was so nice and DS really loved decorating it. We also had some confusion with bell services. I was due to pick up tree on 12/1 and they couldn't find it anywhere. The CM went to the storage room for quite a while and called back to the desk to tell them she couldn't find it. The CM at the desk suggested I check with the front desk to see if there was a message about it. While I did that the original CM returned from the storage and just as she returned the front desk CM yelled across the hall to them to check for the tree for me before I had a chance to tell her BS sent me to the front desk. The Bell Services CM got annoyed, I guess she thought I tried to go over her head, which I did not. I felt so bad!
The next morning, I went to Bell Services again to see if it showed up. Sure enough it was the same CM I annoyed the night before at the desk. She was not happy to see me and told me to follow her into the storage room to check myself. We did find it, it was in the golf club storage area.
After that, it was smooth sailing! The tree looked really nice and we added our name to the red mittens Ceejay supplied. It really added to the Christmas spirit!

We shipped BWV tree #2 down and received it with no problems. It was at the BWV conference center and we had it delivered to the room along with the boys' golf clubs.

Left the box for Jennifer yesterday for it to go to SSR. Tried to call her at SSR, but was told there was no one there by that name and tried again to call at SSR but kept getting busy signals with Disney Information. Plan to try to call today from home to be sure she got it OK.

What a wonderful idea. I have a family that I could not bear to be away from for the holidays, so I don't think we will be doing something like this ever, but I did think "how do they do it without a tree? I would be sad." So how cool!

We got home last night and had the second VWL tree. We received it from Bell Services with no problem. When I called to have them bring up the luggage I also told them I should have another box with a tree in it. It came right up along with a bag with a great surprise from goofy4wdw59. My kids loved the tree - we lit it every morning and it was lit when we got home at night. We were on the pool side of VWL and could see the tree as we were walking back. There was another tree visible in the villas as well. It looked like the fourth floor!

All in all a great trip! Thanks goofy4wdw59 for getting the tree there for us all to enjoy!

I was supposed to have VWL tree no. 1 from December 9 - 11. We were busy in the morning (breakfast at the castle!!) and then off to Epcot, so I didn't head down to pick up the tree until after dinner. I first checked with bell services - they looked at me like I had 5 heads and without looking told me "no, we don't have that." They told me to check with Guest Services. I had an excellent intern in Guest Services assist me, and after waiting several minutes while they searched the "back", she told me that they also didn't have the tree box. What did I do wrong??? Maybe I misunderstood how I was supposed to pick up the tree. I hope the person after me had better luck finding the tree!
