I haven't heard much about this character meal. We have a PS for breakfast. Any reviews? How was the character interaction? My kids want to see Mickey and the gang and we are having a hard time choosing one (and fitting it into our schedule). We have a lot of Character meals planned but none with Mickey.
Thanks!
Steph

There was a recent thread on this, I think it was called Donald's Breakfastasaurus. I've heard mixed reviews, but we're going to give it a try, since we've never been!

We have had great luck there. Food, service & characters top notch. It does get mixed reviews. We have had the first PS of the day and it works great for us.

We have gone twice there. 7/2003 and 8/2000. We had a great time. The food is typical Disney breakfast food. Was pretty good if you ask me. The character interaction was pretty good, too. When we went in July 2003, we had a later PS and the characters seemed to ham it up more with the kids since there were less guests. We are skipping it this Nov. only because I want to try some other restaurants instead. Hope this helps.

We have PS for Breakfastasaurus for Oct 20. Starting to worry now as I've read a few unflattering reviews. Has anyone been there recently? I'm particularly interested in the first seating of the day.

Also...aside from the Donald....which characters are there?

Thanks fellow Dis'sers - I know we can count on you !!
::yes::

WE have done most character breakfasts in WDW and I think this is probably our second favorite.

The food is good, the characters are great and the CM's are the best. Last time we were there we saw Micky, Donald, Goofy and Pluto.

We're doing this one too for the first time. I saw the mixed reviews and was worried. My friend was just there in Feb. and she loved it and said it was one of the best. She's a Disney vet, so I'll take her word for it. :teeth:

had breakfast there last week... it was wonderful! had a great waiter (neil) who really kept us entertained! character interaction was excellent... most visited us more than once (which could have been 'cause they were annoyed at the table next to us who kept shouting their names and calling them over to their table anytime they were in the room... even though the waiter said to wait their turn and the chars would come to them... and it was the adults, not the kids... the kids just screamed and cried when a char would come near! they made it less pleasant!) but we also enjoyed the food, even at the last seating of the morning it was hot, fresh and plentiful... only place in wdw to get Krispy Kreme donuts! LOL!

We have been there twice already, with the latest being March 2004 and have always had a great meal. We've been fortunate to be one of the first seated, so we often get to the buffet with a minimal wait in line. As an adult, all character meals are frenetic to me. Trying to eat, manage the children, keep track of autograph books and take pictures is a challenge at times!;)

When given a choice of character breakfasts, this is the one that my son, age 5, chose. Even when he said he wanted to do Chef Mickey's, when I gave him a choice between CM and Breakfastsaurus, he chose this one.

HTH!

My DH and I just ate there in August 2004 - DS's didn't want to wake-up!!Teenagers!! I was a little worried as well as several comments were make on the board about poor service, food, character interaction, etc. We had a great meal!! Everything was top notch including the characters - which was nice since it was only my DH & I. They spent a normal amount of time at each table including ours. The food was fine. I would say give it a try - I think you'll be very happy!

I posted this same question a few months ago. Every response I got was positive!

We are trying it for the first time in November.

It was one of the better character breakfasts that we've been to! You'll enjoy it.

That is the one breakfast we ALWAYS book when in Disney. Don't miss it!

We were there March '03 for my 3 yr DD bday & had a great time! We saw Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald of course. They sang Happy Bday to her and gave her a autographed card... big brother (6 yr) was very jealous! So this year when we booked our Dec trip which coincides with HIS bday that was where he asked to go on his special day when we told him the pick was his for that day. It was typical buffet breakfast food, we all had many things we liked and left very full! Have fun! :)

One of our favorite meals with characters. We just did it last month. We always get a later seating and then it serves as a brunch. Only one downside to this meal....sometimes the wait to get in can get a little long. The place is huge so it takes the characters quite a long time to get to everyone. Then you have people just sitting at their tables, finished with their meals, waiting for Donald!!! We have always had to wait at least 25 minutes to be seated. But if you get an early seating you won't be that boat. Of course, if I went at a cool time of year and it wasn't 85 degrees, with the sun beating down on my head, I probably wouldn't mind the wait!!!!

We went in May and had a nice time. Our server was Neil also and he was great. We met another Diser, the CMs had some great laynard pins, food was good and the characters were good also. Only thing I did not like was the tables were really small for all of our stuff. We had an 8:30 seating and no problem getting in.

A positive expeience from May 2003, it was great! My nephew picked it as his meal this August but we were not able to make it because of hurricane Charley but he is going for his birthday in December.

We went there in June and will never go back! We had a PS and was seated within 5 minutes but what made it so bad was the wait for the characters. We were done with our meal and still waiting for the characters and then when they came around they seemed so rushed that my kids were really disappointed.
We also went to breakfast at Cindy's, dinner at Chef Mickeys, and lunch at Crystal Palace and LOVED all of these!

Think you were just unfortunate, Stephanie.

We were there in April, had P.S. for 10am. Although that was last sitting and pretty busy, we found the hot food kept coming out until everyone had finished. Characters were Mickey,Donald, Goofy and Pluto. They must have visited with us at least twice each, if not three times. Our server was called Darlene, she made the meal really great fun for all of us.

I will definitely go back again next time I visit WDW.:)
