Can anyone confirm that you can get a decent signal with T-Mobile phone service in IOA or US or between them and the RPR?

We bought walkie-talkies and tried them before, but have had better luck at WDW with just using our cell phones to communicate with teenagers or other parent.

Before I decide not to take the walkie-talkies, I'd like to know that the signal for T-Mobile is okay in the parks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

T-mobile worked fine for us at the parks. We didn't have the greatest signal at the RPR during our July 2003 visit. We had to move around the room, until we could get a strong enough signal. The signal was fine during our Oct 2002 stay at the PBH and the HRH.

We used our T-Moible cell phones in the park and was charged a roaming charge of 45 cents a minutes. Wish we would have used walkie talkies!!!! The people from t-mobil told us we would be fine using them in Flordia when we got our phones and plan, after I asked them about using them at universal studios for our trip! So we were charged a extra 12.00 for using the cell phones!

Ok I just felt so obligated to butt in this thread. I had T-mobile, key word HAD, and it just completely sucked from my house to any where in life. I know I am not the only one with that problem because people right near me have T-mobile and friends at school have it. I thought this is down right the worst service I have come across. I was using the free samsung blue skinny small phone they gave me. Maybe that could be the problem, I don't know, but the service at Universal stood no chance when I didn't even work inside my house. Hey maybe you stand a better shot and maybe you have a better service. I use cobra walkie talkies all the way. Walkie talkies are the gifts from God. Guranteed they work just as long as you put fresh batteries. Unless people are ******** on the line (starring Lance from Nsync LOL :) ) then you can always reach your party. They are great, I can't see the downside to them. In the worst case scenary use the phones. Just always have a special meeting point and time in the park so if by anyway shape or form you lose your party, you know where they will be.

I had no problem in May. The only place I couldn't call out from was the Oak Tree Tavern restaurant in IOA. RPR was not a problem. I have a Nokia 3390 phone.

I used the free skinny blue Samsung phone from T Mobile, and had reception at the RPR (although as one poster said, I had to move around the room until I found the clearest spot), good reception at the parks. Also, no service inside Oak Tree, but as I moved closer to the doorway, service came back.
It was very convenient to have the cell phones. And we were not charged for roaming.
