Does anyone have any info about the sale of SSR? How's it going?

I am also interested in this info as well. We are down to the wire (tomorrow) before our offer expires, and I am still a little unsure if we are doing the right thing buying here. Theya re quoting us 79.00/point. We are considering 2 x 150 points, so as to sell one later if we desire. I am looking for any info on whether you all think SSR is a good deal, or should we do resale?
Thanks!

Two of the original four buildings have already been sold, and that news is already 3.5 weeks old.

SSR with the current promotion is DEFINITELY a good deal. If you have investigated SSR and know that you would be comfortable spending the vast majority of your stays there (as it will be your Home resort) you can't go wrong with the promotional pricing.

SSR contracts have an additional 12 years of ownership compared to all of the other DVC resorts. A resale will cost you less up-front cash, but you get fewer years for your investment. So, if you can make use of all 50 years (or your children, or your grandchildren), then go with SSR. Just make sure you do it before the deadline.

If you took a tour and were given the 3-day window to make a decision, be aware that DVC is holding people to that window. If you didn't take a tour and have dealt with DVC over the phone, you should have until 10/31 to commit.
