Thinking of buying Maxpass when I go in September.
Question - How is the cell service in the park if you have Sprint?

I was there last year with my AT&T phone and service was pretty good but my friends have Sprint and I know the service can be spotty in general.

I've been to the parks with Sprint maybe 20-30 days.... The most recent being this last June. Wifi was fairly spotty, and tough to get a strong enough signal to use the app effectively. Sometimes it worked great, but not everywhere.

LTE was a joke in some areas inside the park. I made it work and was able to effectively use the app (pre-max pass) but I could sneeze and lose signal it was that touch and go.

I have Sprint and I have terrible service in the parks. i rarely can get the app to load wait times or make dining reservations.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll research how to link all 3 passes to my account and just use my phone for Maxpass. That way we don't have to worry about if their phones work or not. Mine worked pretty well - a few dead/slow spots- but it was usually when we were inline indoors.

I think it also depends on your phone. The newest iPhones (7) as well as the newer Samsungs have upgraded antennas. I have sprint as well and just in my hometown going from and iPhone 5 to a 7 made a HUGE difference in how well my phone received data. I'm sure the amount of people in the parks at one time can also overload the towers, so that must play a factor in it as well.

It would be interesting to know what phones the above posters have as some say the reception is ok and others say it is horrible. On other forums I have read that Sprint worked great (maybe they had the newest phone and went on a slow day though).

Spirit is absolutely the worst inside Disneyland. Sometimes it was even hard to send a picture message to people using your normal cell service. Instagram was unusable, nothing would load. Once Verizon started offering unlimited data again I switch over and it's been smooth sailing ever since.

The Wifi in the parks has been getting very bad reviews, unfortunately. Obviously the first couple months of the Wifi roll out is going to be spotty, but everyone using Maxpass has unfortunately been forced to use normal cell data to get it to work for now.

I have had sprint each time we have gone and it is not the best.I have unlimited data so i rarely connect to wifi but it was good at some places very bad at others. My biggest issue was my battery seemed to die too quick with trying to load pages or open the app but that was all mostly an iphone thing. The last time we went i had just purchased a new phone and the battery did last longer but speed was still slow

I agree with you. I have a cheap( probably a has technology from a few years ago) android smartphone on Verizon and it doesn't seem to matter if I'm connected to wifi or LTE the apps don't work as well as my work provided iphone 6S. Looks like I can link my friends to my Disneyland app/account so I'll do that since I know my work iphone works well in the park. Just need to make sure I bring extra battery pack so my phone stays charged.
