Hi

What is this like - I'm considering it as a back up in case we can't get Le'Celler.

There is just the 2 of us dining - i thought it looks romantic - but how is the food.

My dh does not eat cheese - will this be a problem?

Thanks

We had lunch there in Oct and really enjoyed it...I just booked a dinner there for June because the new menu looks amazing! DH is going to be thrilled because this is quickly becoming his fave place

It IS romantic, altho the tables are close together.

Here's the menu as of January, so you can see how cheesy it is. Our experience is that you can make modifications for dietary or other restrictions easy enough - I'd call ahead just to make sure, though.

It's been a couple of years since we've been, and candidly, it was not a stellar experience. Not awful, or even bad, but just not all that good, either. Some recent posts lead me to believe that there might be a trend upward. You'd just have to see for yourself.

I'd recommend Chefs de France - maybe not as romantic, but the food, for us, is significantly better.

Here are some reviews, and you'll see they're all over the map.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

After hearing so many negative review about it I was reluctant to try San Angel. I can tell you, after my DH stomped his feet to go here, I was very pleasantly surprised. I thought the food and service was very good. We went in September so very hot out. The interior was nice and cool and also romantic.

We ate there in January for the first time. The atmosphere is wonderful, but it is pretty noisy. We didn't like the food at all and probably wouldn't go back. Guess I'm just a Taco Bell kind of girl!
San Angel Inn is closing for renovations in May...don't know when it will reopen...at least according to ALL EARS.

San Angel is one of my more favorite restaurants. Of course Mexico is one of my favorite pavillions, so I may be prejudiced a bit.

We have a couple Mexican places around us w/larger menus & a bit better food, but for Epcot I think it is one of the better options. Although I do wish they had a bigger menu.

I'd say if you can't get LeCellier it is a good 2nd choice.
