I have an opportunity to buy a gift cert for $10 off a 20 food purchase for 3.00. How are the meal prices and quality of food? Deb Wills' site has a menu, but it's from 2000. I usually go off site to eat to save $, but DH doesn't like to leave WDW a lot during our trip. We will also have 1 yo DD with us, so we're not looking to wait an hour in line for a table. I was thinking late lunch or dinner. Any advice? How much do two people usually spend to eat there? Thanks so much!

We have been there a few times and have always enjoyed it but we stick to the burgers. I have heard some negative comments about other stuff but we will definitely go back.

The burgers and fries they are good.We are 2 adults and have burgers, fries coke's to drink and split a desert,Cost is $30.00 with tip give or take a couple bucks.:earsboy: :sunny: :earsgirl:

I think your money would be well spent on some place else. The food is mediocre and the service abysmal.

I think it depends on what time you go and what you order. My first PH experience was in NYC and it was awful. Service was slow and the food wasn't very good even though the restaurant wasn't full. When we went to DTD in August, everyone but me wanted to eat at PH, so we did. It was later in the evening on a Sunday (about 9-9:30) and there was no wait, food and service were good. Based on my experience at DTD, I did return to PH in NYC and it was much better the 2nd time. If you go either early or late, I think you might have better luck and stick to burgers and other stuff that can't really be screwed up too bad!

Definitely depends on the time you go! My family loves Planet Hollywood for lunch. Went once for dinner and will NEVER go at dinner time again! The burgers are great and I love the shrimp club sandwich! Not to mention the oreo pie for dessert.

I've been there once and haven't returned. The food wasn't good and service was okay. Maybe it was the time we were there, but we were not happy with the meal at all.

I know a lot of people don't like Planet Hollywood but my family loved it ~ although the music is *very* LOUD! I took my parents to WDW last August and that was our first experience with PH. We went for dinner our first night and it was really good. My mom and I both had cheeseburgers and fries both huge. My dad had a 1/2 chicken (I think) and he said it was good too.

The price was good for the food you got (I think it was about 8 or 10 bucks for the burger but you have to remember you are at PH) and we did have a really filling meal. Hey, go to say you've been there! Have fun :p

I HAVE BEEN TO PLANET HOLLYWOOD IN DOWNTOWN DISNEY TWICE & ENJOYED THE FOOD BOTH TIMES. FIRST TIME I HAD THE CALIFORNIA LASANGA & THE SECOND TIME I HAD THE CHICKEN FINGERS & FRIES..THESE ARE STRIPS OF CHICKEN COATED IN CAPT CRUNCH CEREAL..YUM! ALSO, THE HOME ALONE DRINKS ARE VERY GOOD ..ENJOY!

The service was lousy, the food was pitiful and the atmosphere was just ok. I wouldn't waste my money again!

We love planet hollywood at DTD...the LA Lasagna/cobb salad...ummmmm...get hungry just thinking about it.

We have always had excellent service. Prices are moderate...discounts available for disneyclub members or annual passholders.

Enjoy!

If you have never been to PH it is neat to try it once. We have been a few times with different people and found it to be just so so. But if you have never been you should give it a try. It's not that the food is bad, but with all the choices at WDW it is nothing special.

I echo the sentiments throughout this thread....don't waste a meal at PH when you can go to the other unique eateries in DD !! The PH food and service is very inconsistent and at it's best, is similar to a Ruby Tuesdays or Friday's chain that you can eat at in any city.
Get some ideas on other than PH, PLEASE.

Its a fun atmosphere at Planet Hollywood, and great for movie buffs, but I think that it may be a bit loud for your DD-- when we went the service was a bit lacking, and the food was just average.

Just my two cents - DD ordered a grilled cheese. Came out black. Sent it back. Came back burned again. Had to take the best, scrape off burned parts, put together. About $8-9. Not impressed - not going back.
