Hi
We just got back today, took advantage of free dining, ate at Sci-Fi, CRT, Le Cellier, Tepanyaki and Ohana's. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOT that I dont think we enjoyed ourselves as much as we did in Jan 2004. I am graduating in May from nursing school and want to go back. Can anyone tell me what May is like? Crowds? WEATHER? Park Hours?

Thanks

My husband & I went this past May 5th and it was beautiful!! It was actually VERY chilly at night (50's). No humidty and the crowds where minimal. I have been in the middle of May before & its been REALLY hot so I guess it really depends.

WE just got back last night and I definatly agree with the OP it was HOT!!! Not so much humid but really hot. We had our personal fans but we broke down and bought a misting fan $17 but well worth it.

May is a great time of year to go weather wise and crowd wise, except for Memorial Day weekend.

Nights can be a bit brisk though so I would bring long pants and a sweater or light jacket. :earsgirl:

We LOVE going in May!! Have been going in May for the past 12 years or so. The weather can be hot, more noticeably towards the end of the month rather than the beginning. But the mornings and evenings are very enjoyable, sometimes even had to put on long sleeves for evenings. The hours are shorter though due to it being slow season, but we never minded. We've never been in the summer so we don't know what it would be like to be in the parks until 11:00 p.m. anyways... You tend to get one of those pop-up thunder storms just about every late afternoon, but it's over before you know it.

We love going in may. It is hot though. We find the wait for most rides about 5-10mins.

We have gone the last 2 May's and think it's a great time to go! I don't remember ever being really hot and the parks weren't very crowded. I went in July a couple years back and WON'T be doing that again EVER.

Ummmmmmmm, I don't know what the above posters are talking about! I went the first week of May this year and it was HORRIBLE!....AWFUL!... VERY HOT, VERY CROWDED, worse than summer! Worse than 4th of July! Stay away from early May at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!

:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: Ok, yea, I'm just kidding!!! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

But please, we don't want EVERYONE to find out how great May is!!!!
It'll start getting more crowded like early December! :rotfl:

Count me in for another May lover! We went in 2003 and it was wonderful. The weather was beautiful, we saw more characters than we have ever seen and the crowds were very low. We were able to walk on every ride multiple times. Even Dumbo we only had a 5 minute wait when that is usually 30 or better.

We just came back from our trip in mid-August and I agree with you about the heat. Although I don't mind it (as long as there are not a lot of people, I am happy and when we went it was pretty good crowd-wise), I would have rather it not be 300 degrees.

We went the first week in May a few years ago and really liked it. it was hot at times, but nothing like August.

I have been many times and May is my favorite. We went in Mid May and it was PERFECT!!!

My daughters and I visited WDW from May 21-28 this year and it was great. The crowds were low until the Friday before Memorial day. The temps stayed in the mid-80s, and for the first time it never rained! We will try to go during this time from now on. We used early entry and Fastpass and saw every attraction we liked at least once.
