How is May?

Hello everybody!! We are trying to plan a trip to Disneyland and I wondered what the beginning of May was like?

We are going May 1st through May 6th. Every time we've ever been at the end of April or first of May it has been great. The crowds aren't terrible and we walk on many of the rides with a minimal wait. However, be aware that the hours will be shorter and some things will only run on the weekends (i.e. Electrical Parade, Fantasmic!, Fireworks). When we go in off season, we always plan a weekend so we can get those things in. The weekends are much busier than during the week but I like the balance. I've never been when its overwhelmingly busy but I do enjoy the busier weekends. It's just part of Disneyland!

Alright! Thanks a lot! I have always stayed after Thanksgiving so the lines have always been low so I too hate busy crowds.

NO!!! It is REALLY busy. EVERYONE should stay home. (I will be there May 8-12 and would like the parks to be empty...)

HaHa!!! My family of five and the family of five that we are traveling with (first time traveling with our best "family" friends....we are sooooooo excited) will be gone by then. I honestly can say though, that I don't mind the crowds. I like when it's empty and we have short lines but I also love when it gets a little more crowded. I can't pinpoint why but it just seems so Disneyland to me.

Really, I love going at the end of April/beginning of May. I think we're going to plan a "quickie" trip next December between Thanksgiving and Christmas...I've heard it's not too busy at that time. Glad to hear your input.

That is a great time. Literally, we walked on Tower of Terror, Pirates of the Caribbean, space mountain, and splash mountain! Its a fantastic time to go! Hope you have a wonderful time!

Mid week is a good time to go. Great weather, low crowds. However be aware, they extended the 2Fer offer to end in May this year, it COULD be more crowded not sure.

This is good news for me. Although I'll be going on a Friday, it's May 9th. It might get more crowded later in the day since locals come after work but I'm not too worried.

Will be there May 16th-25th. Last time I was there in June, it was a little busy but not that bad, hopefully this time it will be even less busy.

Will be there May 14-17..it's all the grandkids' first times and first time for DIL as well, so hope it's manageable. made sure to have Friday night in there for fantasmic, but the fireworks are so amazing in front of the castle..choices choices...
